Positive Review
I bought this as my retirement vehicle. Couldn’t ask for a better truck. Lots of power, reliable, and plenty of room are some of the traits I love the most. I haven’t had to do anything except for routine oil changes/maintenance and topping off the DEF every 3rd fill up of diesel. Getting about 23 mpg which is great for such a BEAST of a truck.
Critical Review
been to two dealerships both say crosswind noise is normal. never had noise on my 2016 1500. my mistake buying an x31 package I`m 63 and use a step ladder sometimes to get in the bed. mpg is also my mistake, I`m used to my 5.3. so don`t expect good mpg. other than that I like it.

4wd, style, interior function, reliability
gas mileage
Solid and dependable, I still love this truck! Absolutely zero issues. Whether it's load after a home improvement run, pulling the camper into the mountains or across the country, or shifted into 4-wheeldrive...it does its job with excellence.
Power, roomy, tow anything, technology
Getting used to height and length. 13 Cameras help

Great tow vehicle
Gas mileage….?
This is a wonderful truck. I admit that this is my first big truck, but it sure is a nice truck. I purchased this vehicle with a specific goal of towing a camping trailer. This truck can tow up to 16,400 pounds with a fifth wheel, and I believe pretty close to that with the hitch. This is the 6.6 L gasoline engine. It might not get the best gas mileage I’ve ever had, but considering I’m towing a 14,000 pound trailer it does really well! It can tow the trailer down the interstate at 70 miles an hour no problem at all. All in all it is a fun truck to drive and really looks cool!
Runs and looks great until it doesn't
engineering problem with DEF tank requires fix
Great truck, loved it until the DEF tank heater malfunctioned and shut down the truck. Now sitting waiting for the replacement tank for over 10 weeks. Turns out every HD truck 2020 and 2021 has the same problem and all will need this replacement that is being produced at a snail's pace by GM. Per the dealership, last count, over 9000 trucks like mine are idle waiting for this part. $65000 waste of money and terrible service by GMC (not the local dealership).
Size and quality!
Gas mileage!
This truck is expensive but you get what Gypsy for! I wished they would make the 10 speed Allison transmission standard on all Denali pickups! Gas mileage is a bit low but overall, love this truck
Great power an mileage from the diesel
Stuck at the dealer all the time
Infotainment system is unreliable and does something different every time I start the truck. I have been back to the dealer 6 times for repairs to the parking sensors. Two weeks ago the DEF tank heater shorted out and the dealer cant get parts. I can get the part if I want to pay 750.00 for something covered under warranty but GM won't release them to the dealer for warranty work. When passing a car on a hill the wheels spun a bit which caused the traction control and hill start assist to come on at the same time. Left drivers mirror won't fold in like the right one does. Radio tells me it needs an update but fails when it try's to download it. All for this and 72000.00 price tag. I can't wait to get rid of it.
