Positive Review
Very quiet ride. Nice looking. Steps in rear bumper great idea. Sharp looking interior. Great gas mileage. 19.6 mpg on 2800 mile trip carrying 900 lbs cargo. Engineers overlooked some small but important things. Projector headlights are terrible, no peripheral lighting on hi beams, interior dome lighting is bad, outside temp reading doesn't update frequently enough, speakers in front doors stick out too far and get kicked when exiting, piping on leather seats is very irritating when exiting or entering frequently, no provision to turn off auto door locks, infotainment screen is too bright for night driving and cannot be dimmed independently from the dash lighting, interior is super quiet but I still have to listen to the key fob rattle against the steering column on uneven roads, side mirrors are too small and can't see rear wheels with them, steering wheel mounted controls are no longer at your fingertips but are now smaller and mounted higher up and can't be felt with gloves on. Less vision out windshield compared to previous model. I use this truck for work and a lot of times at night with entry and exit at least 50 times a day. This truck is not as convenient or comfortable as the previous model.
Critical Review
I love the body and interior of the truck but the transmission has given me lots of problems it shakes and the transmission feels like its going to fall at least 4 times a day when it shifts. I have been to the service department 3 times once they kept it for 2 months. I'm going to bring it back this week and I have not towed nothing yet. I'm a conservative drive. I paid 58k

Have used nothing but Full Synthetic Oil every 5K Miles - Serviced Transmission every 50K Miles - Complete service 10K miles to include injectors, injector rails, coolant service, battery, transmission service, new brakes - rebuilt top end - Powerful engine !
What would think about buying a 1500GMC Sierra regular checks but has 197000 on the whole thing???
comfort and amenities
expected more from such a pricey truck
it was a great truck. had it for 10 years....longest i ever owned a vehicle. loved the truck, but had to replace a lot on it to keep it going....replaced the transmission at 115k miles for $6500, radiator around 90k for $1800, ball joints, boots, rear gate bushings several times, etc...this is all outside routine oil, brakes, battery, etc...I owned it for 10 years but needs deep pockets to keep it running like a top.
Terrible vehicle. They sold them know transmission was bad. I’ve put new transmission in 2021. And now it’s going out. Will be third transmission jn 142,000 miles
All I wanted was to know the value of my truck. This sight does not do that. It keeps taking you to dealerships who want to hassle you about selling your vehicle. Game playing sight. Get to the point. Tell me what my truck is worth and not screwing with me. Another BS sight.
Trailer brake control likes to come on when not towing for no reason. I put 1 or 2 gain on it and it seem to correct the false signal. Vent actuators get stuck I believe it may have corrected once by accident when the battery was disconnected. Had to replace torque converter. Assuming previous owner abuse. Bought the truck at 87000 mi. and it has tick tick tick since day one. Today at 192000 still tick tick ticking. It’s been a good truck.
My truck got rear ended It cost more to get it repaired then what its worth. Thats what the insurance say
