Positive Review
I purchased a used 1994 Prizm with 160,000+ miles. The car has purred like a Singer sewing machine. The manual transmission and engine are solid. The air conditioning is cold, and the car gets great mid to upper 30's MPG. The car has great power. This car is well worth the used car KBB value. It runs like a new car, but at a fraction of the cost. Prizm's were built by Toyota for Chevy at the Toyota Corolla assembly line in Fremont, CA, and are a Toyota Corolla with a Chevy name. If you are looking for inexpensive, but a quality gas saving used commuter car, this is it. The only slight drawback is tall people have a tougher time in the back seats.

My Geo was amazing. Hardly ever needed repairs. Always reliable. Good on gas.Would still be driving it if a lady didn't total it while I was sitting at a red light. I hope one day I'm lucky enough to find another one.
RELIABILITY, GAS SAVER, EZ 2 work on, Comfy,Value
Manual tranny sucks, get Auto!!! No cons really.
Younger drivers probably have never heard of a Geo Prizm but it is a Toyota Corolla badged as a Geo Prizm. Hence why it’s the best of both worlds. A Ultra reliable Japanese car made in the USA. Fremont, California to be exact. Everything is the same except for the dash and steering wheel is made by Chevy. Tesla now owns this Fremont factory but dang did Chevy hit it on the nail by partnering with Toyota on these babies. Over 30+ MPG. Most comfy bucket seats I’ve ever sat in. No thrills or expensive repair bills since Corolla parts are cheap. Easy to work on...aisin automatic transmission. Pretty decent power for a 4 cylinder engine.
Cheap and reliable. Simply a decent ride.
Not a hot rod, so no fast thrills. OK by me.
18 years, 2 water pumps and an alternator, tires twice and two windshields. Car just keeps on running! Still gets 26 mpg around town. Just an easy ride.
steerin feel, ride comfort, reliable, tough

i have had about 4 different cars including a 2012 mazda and i can say i love my 97 geo prizm more then anything she is a tough and extremely reliable car even when she shouldnt be and i plan to continue buying in the geo prizm family =-)
Reliable, great gas mileage,
Poor interior door and window handles, paint fades
Bought 1994 Prizm with 73,000 miles on it in 1999 from someone who said ... I do not want it any more because I am not sure how long it will last. Been driving it for the last 18 years and now has 238,000 miles on it and still going strong. I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off. Still great gas mileage, very few repairs, never left me stranded. Only negative thing has been having to regularly replace the cheap plastic interior door handles and window cranks.
Fun to drive, low maintenance cost, Dependable

143,000 miles with no squeaks or rattles. Has original exhaust system, rear brake pads. Replaced plugs, belts, alternator rebuilt for a total maintenance cost of less than $300 since 1995. Basic Prism w/5 speed that sounds & runs like the day I bought this car. I am age 69 & this is the BEST BUY CAR I ever owned. Highly Recommend for everyday use.
