Positive Review
Rear wheel drive, not good in snow. V8 power, nice comfortable ride, ample trunk, 4 wheel independent suspension with anti lock breaks. Sporty and luxurious, Find all that in a car today and you will be buying a BMW, or Mercedes..
Critical Review
Overall, an average car. Im the 2nd owner and have owned mine for 8 years. Ive taken it to Detroit (800 mile round trip) many times during one year. Engine has been holding up, not in perfect working condition, but it hasn’t died yet. It has developed a few problems over the years that I haven’t been able to fix. There are two major issues with this car that I have that is common with all t-birds, at least of this year. 1, It burns oil. About 1500-2000 miles, you will need to add a quart or two of oil because it gets low. 2, The heater cores are prone to going bad. Mine went out 3 years ago, and at $700-$800 to replace, I found it not worth getting it fixed. The engine has also developed idle problems that make it difficult to keep running when its cold and at low speeds. I cant really complain though, it has been a good car, its just getting too problematic to keep up with the repairs, plus the gas mileage has gone down hill with each year. With gas prices climbing, this model car is falling to the lower end of the fuel economy, especially with everyone looking for 30+mpg

Good quality vehicle
Does not drive well in the snow
I have owned a 97 tbird since the year 2000. I drove it back and forth to work everyday. Very reliable sleek nice looking vehicle. Lasted for 285,000 miles.
We had ours for 30 years! Just sold it today and it was sad to see it drive away. The odometer quit at 220,000- we estimate it had over 275,000. No longer had garage space or we would have kept it. Original transmission still running strong. Our neighbors are Chevy GMC fans. They don't like Fords- except for our T-Bird. It's out ran every GMC they've owned!
Power, dependability, handling, looks, comfort,
Gas mileage, difficult maintenance
I bought one used from my buddy who got it from an 97 year old woman who couldn't drive anymore. I put new tires, spark plugs, and a whole list of maintenance. I don't know why it was governed at 105 but it hit that very fast. It burned tires off no problem. It had ABS but no TCS from the factory. I wanted to twin turbo, tune, lower 1 inch, and keep it until it blew the engine to make it a barn find. Very sad someone pulled out in front of me and totaled the vehicle. So nice I cried to lose it and to not have raced it more then once
Great suspension
Parts are expensive
Great car, I have a rare 5 speed version. The car was ahead of its time! The car had an Eaton Supercharger, independent rear suspension, computer ride control, anti-lock brakes. Motor Trend car of the year!
4.6 v8
Everything works all around effects fun to drive reliable and dependable wheel drivers everywhere or anywhere
Fast, good-looking, comfortable, and ran great
None
I owned ‘89 and ‘95 thunderbirds. Drove 30,000mi per year on L.A. freeways. Most dependable car ever and the V8 made zipping in and out of traffic effortless. Unfortunately I gave the car away when It had 250,000mi on it. Wish I still had it. Only major repair was a transmission at 230,000mi. Ran great with routine maintenance. It originally caught my eye when the body style changed, reminding me of the BMW650 (or was it 630?) Love the look and functionality of a 2 door coupe. Not much leg room in back but rarely had more than 1 passenger.
everything was awesome
nothing to complain about at all
At age 24, I purchased my new '94 TBird & loved. Sadly it seemed to have a target on it for people who didn't pay attention when making left hand turns. The last event that put my poor baby on the salvaged title list was a crazy person speeding down an iced hill despite all the flashing lights against the snowy backdrop. Hit it on the rear, spun it around & hit it on the side. Bought it back from the insurance for $500 and drove it another year or so then gave it to my aunt who didn't have a car. This was such a GREAT car! So comfortable! I miss my baby sooo much! I want another one!!
Fun to drive, easy to upgrade
Has a limiter at 165 km/h(102mph), kinda quiet
Got this vehicle as my first car a few years ago and I have loved it ever since. It has always started, even in -40 degree weather. A very fun and interesting car to have.
