Positive Review
Have owned Fords for the last 50 years my first was a red 1961 390 cu in Starliner and now I have a candy red 2011 3.5L Taurus SEL. Two different cars designed to move you from place to place in style with gusto. But to say the least the Taurus does it with a lot more refinement. It has fast response when you need to go fast and stops just as well. The interior is first rate in cloth or leather and the options match a lot of cars with a lot higher price and in some cases these cars don't have some of them at all. I get 20 mpg around town with 13000 on the odometer and everything is still tight and running smooth. I do recommend either the back up sensor or the camera as you can't see much when backing up. The premium sound system by Sony is also a good option to get if you like your music. The ride is firm but not harsh except on rough roads so if you need a marsh mellow ride this isn't your car. It gets attention about any where you go is quick, quiet and responsive to steering input so that you can avoid pot holes. It's a great car for not to much cash even with a pretty long list of options installed. I'd buy another one if I needed another car.
Critical Review
Walk away from this pile of junk. This car has way too many issues. Over heating, Transmission, Electrical.. Traded in the car, and bought something else.

Great Ford car, low maintenance. Light issues with a ford. Upgraded nothing since I been with Ford. Got the shareholder package return message for all my Fords.
Speed, style
Front end suspension , rust, driver side heated seat has funny smell, head light failing, water pump $3500
The water pump normally goes around 100k. Need to buy head lights off Amazon. I like the car but at this mileage. You have to see if it was garage kept. Mine had under body rust. Had to get under body rust eliminator and coating. The front end suspension needs work. Need tune up. You also need to replace coils one at a time. They didn't sell them in 6 pack.
Has been a great car. I have oil changed every 5000 miles along with a 4 tire rotation. Non smoker, v6 engine, interior in excellent condition. No problems with vehicle. Body in excellent condition, kept clean. Garage kept
Everything about this car is amazing
There are no cons
This car has been by far amazing I've had no issues with my Ford Taurus SEL it is been a smooth ride like a Cadillac I just can't express how amazing the ride is how sweet how I mean everything is just been wonderful I've had no issues no possibly repairs as long as you maintain your vehicle it will work for you it will ride out
Great ride, stylish, dependable
Can be a gas hog,
I really love my car, I bought it used and the problems I've had have been far and in between. Now the most expensive repair was a problem I had with the coolant area and that was 800.00. Everything else was very cheap. I did have a problem that every now and then the car wouldn't start and make a weird clanking noise but after replacing a gadget that was only $76 near the fuel tank never happened again!! I really love my car its been the most dependable car I've every owned!!
Amazing comfort and entertainment options
Reliablity could be better
I purchased my 2016 Taurus with 100K miles on it from a reputable dealer. I have had no issues and am in love with the body style and the way it drives and rides. The options are amazing and the seats are the most comfortable I have ever had....They blow Acura and Lexus out of the water for sure. Amazing car that is so much fun to drive. I hate that they do not make these cars anymore.
Other than the known internal water pump issue, this car is excellent. Performs well, and got to 150k+ miles without too much trouble
reliability
large
tires and brakes only during its lifetime of service and garage kept very dependable and comfortable on longer trios
