Positive Review
The new Taurus looks like the inside of a mercury. The ride is comfortable, quiet, the handling is amazing, and good gas mileage. They claim to have the safest car in America. The car is extremely roomy and perfect for a growing family. You get lots of car for a low price.
Critical Review
The car has a freeze plug issue. Upon determining that this needs to be repaired, I am told that it is necessary to change out the water pump and chain that drives it. Problem is, water pump is buried inside the motor. Rather than an external pump (which is most common), Ford engineers determined that putting it IN the engine was a good idea. I guess from a profit standpoint for Ford, it may have been a good financial move. However, from a consumer standpoint, this repair will likely cost me more than double what it would if the pump were external. Overall very disappointed in that fact - AND in the fact that Ford refuses to stand by it. Other than that, this is a beautiful car, roomy, comfortable, good in the snow and adverse conditions, safe and overall very nice.

This was my first car back in high school, traded it in at 220k+ miles! It was a great car with a lot of space and decent gas mileage. Never had a problem with it definitely recommend

Just the in town millage it gits. But it's a rocke
Good looking and good running. It's big enough to ride comfortable. It gits18 in town 35 Hwy. The 6 speed transmission is a rocket. I drive my 08 everyday. I'm from South Alabama and wouldn't be scared to take it cross country. Very roomy but not a boat. I love my 08 Tuarus. It has 178,000 miles on it. I've had it 2 now. And I will not sell it for less the $5500.
Great reliability and Quality
I have been driving my 2009 Ford Taurus SE since I was a Sophomore in Highschool in 2015. It had a fairly rough life early on, very limited maintenance and unresolved issues left this car in a bad state by the time it reached 200,000. I remember at one point the car was ran 14,000 miles over the due mileage for an oil change. Despite the miss treatment of the drive train this car never left me stranded. I got my first job in 2019 and started to put money back into the car. I got new front struts, all new tires, and a couple other little fixes. After one alignment this car felt as good as it did the day it left the dealership. About six months ago I got a call saying my father was in the hospital 40 miles away and that I needed to get there asap. I drove the car full throttle at 110mph the whole way there. The temp gauge stayed dead center and it screamed down the highway with zero hesitation. I have a great amount of respect and appreciation for this car for all its done for me. Thank You...

Comfortable ride the seats are amazingly comfortab
Which got a little bit better gas mileage
I love this car because I haven't had a problem with it I've owned it for several years. I once read that it had a very good crash test review. I really want a truck but I don't want to trade this in because it's such a good car and I would hate to get stuck with a lemon after having such a great running car
Reliable, comfortable, sty;ish
Didn't get great gas milage.
Lots of options, reliable and stylish
Quiet, comfortable.
Mileage and handling typical of large sedan.
I've had no major issues with the car. No significant issues at all that I remember. The plastic coating that looks like chrome on the shifter trim is coming off, oh yeah, also, the electric driver seat control has become intermittent, requiring multiple presses to initiate, and the cabin fan, or blower control, has also become intermittent lately. But the drivetrain reliability has been wonderful. Ride and seating are comfortable, and I appreciate the folding rear seat feature. Fuel mileage has been consistent with EPA ratings.
