Positive Review
I bought the Fusion Hybrid when gas was around $3.50 per gallon and rising. I commute 25 miles one way 5 days per week. I have consistently achieved 39.7 mpg. The car was WAY ahead of it's time with technology at the time. Bluetooth and voice activated controls were cool and are just now being matched by other high end cars. Leather seats and interior still look good. When the car was new, I had to replace one of the front wheel bearings which was covered under warranty. After 3 years, I had to replace the 12 volt starting battery (not the hybrid battery). After 6 years, I did have to replace the throttle body which stuck closed. The dealer fixed it in less than 4 hours at a cost of $500. The car has NEVER had a brake job presumably because the regenerative brakes take most of the work off the pads. I have heard the hybrid battery may last beyond 200k and that is the only concern I have. So far it has been a really great car.
Critical Review
I love everything about this car EXCEPT the transmission. It has the dreaded shift flare/slipping from 2-3rd gear and sometimes 4-5th gear. Took to dealer 2x and was reflashed but did no good. Read the forums as many of the transmissions of '10-'12 fusions are defected. I purchased this car mainly because of the positive alcolades and I am disappointed by Ford of thier lack of attention in fixing this problem.

Please refer to "title" Please remove my information from all kbb databases Extremely disappointed in the process of using kbb. CarGurus, Carmax, Autotrader...ALL are better tools than kbb has become.

Not fast but quick off the line with the 3l AWD. Got it with 150 000 now has 184 000. I find it a nice ballance between power and fuel economy. Ride and handling. No major repais . Tires brakes burns a bit of oil. I would love to get me a sport modle but they are very had to find
One owner clean inside and out. Good on gas. Good tires. Non smoker. No sun roof. No moonroof. Clean running engine.
Never had mechanical issues.
Some rust starting.
I purchased my 2011 Ford Fusion USED, approx. 10.5 YEARS ago! NEVER been serviced for any MECHANICAL issues (other than consistent up to date oil changes) “shes” (my car) 🤣had some damage done, covered by insurance, and repaired by a local reputable auto repair shops) 30$-40$ to fill the tank from empty. Great mileage per mile.
I bought this car used at 141,000 for $5,800 and six years later it's still going at 233,000. And it's not simply still going, but still smooth as silk with practically no problems. I really can't believe how well it has performed and I've driven it up, down, and across the country twice without any breakdown. The only problem I can report is an occasional (maybe every 2,000 miles) lapse in the power steering assist, which is solved by simply turning the car off and starting it a minute or so later. One of the best cars I've ever owned (I'm 58).
I purchased my 2010 ford fusion sport fwd at 25,000 miles in 2014. I have over 167,000 on it now. Replaced a few minor things at 70,000. No transmission or engine problems. Car has gotten peppy in her old age. Best car I have ever owned. I have a few friends that have the same model and have over 250,000 miles. If you follow the owners manual with services will last a long time :)
