Positive Review

"most reliable car ever"

Ive had them all Chevy, Honda, Toyota, and Kia and let me tell you that the best of hem all was my Ford Fusion. spacious, reliable, and stylish. no Toyota could ever amount to the quality and reliability of this car. I've never had one problem with this car, and I've put on over 230K on this ride. over all I will never compromise for anything else but a Ford.

Critical Review

"Worst vehicle ever"

At 76,600 miles: blown engine, on the V6. This despite a change of oil by Ford 6,000 miles earlier. No warning whatsoever. Also need to replace catalytic converter; and replace transmission mount. At 70,000 miles: air conditioning went out. $1,050 repair bill, to replace a $50 sensor. This is no lie. I have VIN and repair estimates to prove. I will never buy another Ford product again.

Very Underwhelming
Pros

Audio System (Bass esp.)

Cons

Reliability

DISCLAIMER Let me begin by mentioning that my first ever vehicle was this 2009 Ford Fusion SEL with the inline four-cylinder engine, so I don't have tons of experience with personal vehicles. With that being said, I have been very involved with countless vehicles before this, so take my information as you will. RELIABILITY I've owned and daily driven (kind of) my 2009 Ford Fusion SEL for roughly seven months by now, and it has been nothing short of an extremely disappointing vehicle (especially with most reviews setting higher expectations). My particular vehicle has right around 135,000 miles on it which is nowhere near the approximate 200,000 mile to 250,000 mile life expectancy. Since my ownership, it has had one thing or another fail, brake or malfunction in one way or another every other week to as frequently as weekly. Window regulators, belts, oil changes and all are things that have had to be done to it (completely expected at the time of purchase), so none of this is included in my statement. This vehicle has left me stranded on the side of the road (at the worst times possible as luck would have it), and when it doesn't leave me stranded in the middle of the worst places, it leaves me having to borrow other vehicles for one reason or another when I'm headed to work or school the next morning. There are surely things that I brush off as it's nothing I care about with a car worth hardly what it is (such as the driver-side seat heat not operable), but most frequently, the car's seemingly scheduled weekly failures are ones that turn the vehicle into one heck of a garden gnome. I'm not sure if I lucked out with a lemon or what, but from my experience, the reliability of this vehicle is by far the worst I've personally dealt with, and that's coming from one who lives with a 2020 Ford Explorer Platinum that sends error messages every time it's driven. PERFORMANCE As a teenage male, I do like a little more power to the vehicles, and I've grown used to this from both of my parent's cars and trucks with 0-60 times of 5.5 and 5.6 seconds respectively. With this being said, I'm not expecting anything from a vehicle with a 168hp inline four, though the 0-60 is a well known performance measurement aside from horsepower (which means nothing because of the vast number of factors not taken into account such as weight). Regardless, my Ford Fusion managed to go 0-60 in real-world driving conditions in an impressive... 17 seconds. Take this information as you will, though for someone looking for a great deal more power, this is a fairly underwhelming vehicle. It might get you from point A to point B though... sometimes, and slowly if it does! FEATURES This vehicle has just about the perfect amount of technology to it for any vehicle, let alone a vehicle for drivers prone to easy distractions. It's got heated leather seats (for both the driver and front passenger, though the system is prone to failure), effective heat, AC (which is hardly noticeable on warmer days), auto mode for fan speed, and more. This vehicle has a fairly sized center console with two compartments that can be opened together or individually with two separate opening levers. This vehicle also has ambient lighting which I found to be quite exciting for a vehicle of such a caliber from 2009! Additionally, this vehicle has a *PHENOMENAL* audio system. Any music played comes across as clear and crisp as can be, everything is adjustable, and the bass itself easily tops my dad's 2019 Ford F-150 King Ranch's audio system entirely, and is hardly different from our 2020 Ford Explorer Platinum! Again, when I say it's impressive, it's seriously impressive! Unfortunately, you might look kind of like a douche sitting in your driveway motionless, sitting on jacks for the second week in a row with your music blaring loud enough for the other half of the world to sing along to the song while just trying to enjoy the few functioning parts to the vehicle itself.
