I bought an 08 4dr SES in February 08. As of 8-21-08, I have 21,000 miles on it as I commute 70 miles each way everyday. I keep very detailed info regarding gas mileage and so far, I am averaging 35.9 mpg. And that's cruising at 70mph. For one week I drove 65 and averaged 37.2 mpg. This car will never be confused for a luxury car but the interior is very roomy, comfortable and stylish. The sync system makes talking on the phone carefree. I use my ipod constantly and the sound is excellent. Wet roads have been no problem and when I need to pass a slow poke, the horses are there. I would recommend this vehicle for anyone who hates to pay for gas and wants a fun driving experience.

My review of our 2009 Ford Focus SES car we purchased brand in May of 2009. Manufacturing date is April 2009 and accepted delivery with five miles on odometer. This is a fully dealership serviced car. We take very good car of our cars and follow the recommended service schedule. At 62,359 miles the transmission went out failed on the highway. Ford Motors would not stand behind the extended warranty. They (Ford Motor Corp) claimed we never changed the transmission fluid and filter at 25,000 miles! So the dealership wanted $4356.00 for a brand new transmission! We said no real fast!! Had the car towed to transmission shop and got a rebuild transmission for $1800.00 and the car runs much better. Also we slid into a curb and damaged the front rims and tires. Again Ford Motors wants $300.0 per rim. I said no and purchased a new set of better quality rims and tires for the same price!!! We like the car great on gas! Comfy too! but Ford offers bad customer relations compared to Mercedes Benz my other car. Will not purchase another Ford product!!

Daily dependable, versatile sedan when I was a driver. Parked since 2019 but started and ran 3 months ago. Have service, maintenance records from when it was bought new.
Almost never had problems with my ride. Bare minimal, basic maintenance. Had her for now 5+ years, what an Awesome Car.
Bought a 2009 Focus SE from my sister for $1000. Rockers were starting to rot out, needed valve cover gasket and engine mounts. Cheap fix and simple enough to do yourself. She had purchased the car from the original owner and it had zero other issues. When I was T-boned I had 447,000kms. Was very upset because it was the best vehicle I've ever owned. Was easily getting 7 L /100kms loaded with supplies. Bought another as a commuter when I don't need my big diesel Excursion.

own 2008 Ford Focus SE after 15 years and 140.000 miles I can said is a great vehicle . Repairs been ok. At 102000 miles brake system fail (BRAKE CALIPER, MASTER CYLINDER), AFTER 120000 miles strut/coil spring front and back. fuel pump after 120000 miles, ENGINE MOUNTINGS after 110.000miles have to replace, Alternator was change with all the belts and berings after 100.000 miles. brakes, tune-ups as regular maintenance, air filter and gasoline filter as a maintance every 10000 miles to 15000 miles. car RUNS like new, have a good acceleration, good performance, gasoline consume (as I live in south Florida Trafic is crazy) is 24 MPG in city, at Hwy 33 MPG . oil is change every 3000 miles and transmission fluid every 50000 miles. only problem BACK SIT IS NOT COMFTORBLE, leg space is short. Easy to maintenance except to remove master cylinder ..
I've had my ford Focus for years. I maintain my car yearly with oil changes, new wipers, all fluids and check belts. I love my Focus. Perfect fit for me as I am short. My granddaughter wants it when I've stopped driving it. It has some minor pain imperfections, but that was my fault.
