Positive Review

"Very nice small SUV"

I have enjoyed my Ford Escape. It has been the most reliable vehicle I have owned with few mechanical problems, mostly normal wear and tear. For an SUV it gets very good gas mileage, even still being over 10 years old. I will most likely buy another other one once this one has seen its better days. I recommend this vehicle if you are looking for a small, yet versitile SUV.

VS

Critical Review

"Worst car ever."

I wouldn't recommend this vehicle I've had nothing but problems. Brake lines failed, catalytic converter failed, interior is peeling, failed wheel bearing, bad control arms, electronics don't work. I will never ever buy another Ford.

I love my 2006 Ford escape.

We bought this car brand new, had to replace transmission at 85,000 miles. I read that's kind of the downfall of the escape. Here it is 2024 almost 25 and she's still on the road. It handles great in the Winter and is a blast in the Summertime River trips. It can haul a lot and is easy to keep clean. It has been the best car I have ever had. Never will I sell her.

Excellent SUV 2005 Ford Escape Limited
Pros

Great in the Michigan snow.

Cons

Gas mileage is not the best.

I own a 2005 Ford Escape Limited . I have 212,000 miles on the V6 enigine. It's the orignal engine. It has leather interior. I put a Kenwood stereo with new speakers in the SUV. I purchased the Ford Escape Limited back in 2021 with 196,000 miles. It's been a very good truck. The 2005 Ford Escape Limited is the first SUV I ever owned. I would recommend the 2005 Ford Escape Limited. I just put in a new Die Hard Battery in it SUV in 2023. It drives very well on the freeway. I also put new tires on my SUV in 2021. Plus, I also just put new headlight bezels in the SUV last month. I am keeping this vehicle for a long time. Great in the winter weather. I live in Michigan, so I drive it in the snow, The SUV is front wheel drive. Never been stuck in the snow. I love it.

Pros

never let me down not once I abused it and it took

Cons

nope

only know about the one I have. this thing has been across country pulled behind a motorcoach and driving it solo multiple times. I really haven't been nice to this car at all, except for changing the oil always. this 2001 ford escape xls 2.0 4x4 has been an awesome vehicle on road off road other than normal maintenance. this car has proven itself time, and time again never let me down ever.great car all around I won't be getting rid of mine.

Reliable and Super Useful
Pros

Reliable, Quick in-town driving, Spacious

Zippie little SUV that due to its somewhat boxy rear-end has more cargo space than other small SUVs I’ve used. As these Escapes got newer, they downsized the interior space over the years. These earlier releases also had less electronics issues. I have 280,000 miles on mine. Same engine & transmission. Just recently had to replace AC. Pretty incredible for a pretty basic Ford.

Love this car!!!
Pros

Price, reliable, lots of room

Cons

Old

I love this car so much! I bought a white 2007 Ford Escape used several years ago and this car is amazing for the price. I’ve had very few issues with it and even though it’s so old it’s so reliable. I drive it states away often to visit family and it runs smooth!!!

2005 Ford Escape. One great SUV
Pros

Excellent driver

Cons

Uses more fuel than the 4 cylinder

I own a 2005 Ford Escape Limited with 210,000 miles. I bought the SUV with 196,000 miles on it. I like the V6 engine, like the torque. Drives very well . It's great during the winter driving. The Ford Escape Limited is the first SUV, I owned. I would purchase another Ford Escape Limited like the one I have now. My 2005 Ford Escape Limited drives awesome.
