Positive Review
White Escape Hybrid titanium. Glad we decided on this instead of Rav4. It's a luxury car for us 'middle-weight' type people. Everything is fine...right now. More satisfied with the 2020 model than our 2016 titanium. Quiet, handles well, like switches, leather upholstery comfortable, visibility good, safety good, very good audio, and good grunt when needed. Driving 2/3's city and 1/3rd highways(2 lane mostly) currently averaging 42.2 mpg!'
Critical Review
Car has the 3 cyl eng..would not recommend it to anyone..has vibration in high gear on highway like it is underpowered...transmission is jerky at startup..maybe a different engine would make a difference but maybe not..not satisfied at all with my escape..

Ford knows this car and engine is junk! They refuse to do anything about it until forced to by legal action. If you own Ford escape get ready for a $7000. Bill for a new engine. This car falls apart at 50,000 miles. Buyer beware!
Gas savings
engine power
I bought this car a week ago and it saves a lot of gas!
Just bought leftover 24, got great price 18700 off msrp with dealer discount and ford rebates. So far love car it does great job of regeneration of battery, smooth transition from battery to gas and vice versa. The info screen is lagging and a bit of pain to change settings but overall loving vehicle
It’s a bit different than my prior 2017 Escape, but the plug in advantage is great! I got all my bells and whistles…
Problems started small ONDAY TWO with wireless Android Auto dropping. Evolved to over a month with no audio of any kind and random failures such as lane keeping assist cute off, no GPS (car thinks it's they states away), backup beeper not working (I have little kids), interior light not working (except sometimes). Five visits for repair in first four months, the last time on a tow truck after it stranded my wife at 6 a.m. Three visits they just said "we can't fix it yet" and gave it back so Ford Buyback claims it doesn't qualify for State lemon law (three attempts to fix the same things... They had it all day, but couldn't fix it so they claimed it wasn't an attempt). Don't "stay away".... "RUN AWAY"
economy, comfort, technology
No more kick to open lift gate! No turn signal lig
We purchased a 2015 C-Max and a 2018 C-Max both regular hybrid and achieved 40 mpg through 150,000 miles. Each time enjoining the newest technology. The Escape is a bigger car that feels more like a small truck, very solid! The new adaptive cruise control with lane assist and distance spacing is awesome, makes road trips much easier. So far it gets 40+ mpg when in auto hybrid mode. zit is simply a beautiful car that is fun to drive pass gas stations with!
Effortless driving. Better than average ride.
none
I can only vouch for the Escape Hybrid I own. Purchased new four plus years ago. Just passed 40K miles. Drive great, handles well, comfortable seats. 360 degree is a hugh plus making driving safer. Reclining rear seats is a great addition. All problems have been minor. One thing to keep in mind is the 12 volt battery is small and if not at peak charge the car can start dropping some amenities. I.e. Passenger side auto lock and unlock function. Ford replaced door locking parts when the problem was the battery no holding peak charge. If you drive it say 15 miles per day it should not be and issue. Being retired my car can sit for days. I would recommend the Escape hybrid. Family that have used it, love it.
As a company car this car has proven to have some issues! HOWEVER I have also had the opportunity to ride as a passenger all day!!! Peeeerrrffeeeccttttt for the passenger princess of your life!!!!
