If you’re looking for a well-equipped 5-passenger crossover SUV in the $30,000 range that offers ample space but isn’t cumbersome to drive, put the Edge on your shopping list. If you’re seeking all that in a sleeper, the Sport trim packs a new EcoBoost V6 engine with 315 horsepower on tap.
If you need to seat more than five passengers you’ll want to step up to a larger, 3-row SUV like the GMC Acadia, Toyota Highlander, Nissan Pathfinder or the Edge’s big brother, the Ford Explorer. If off-road worthiness is on your wish list, check out the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
