Positive Review
This car was the first car I drove and very fun because it was so small. It was easy to park anywhere I went and its a five seater so there was space in case I needed to drive anyone else. Realistically, however, this car is probably made at most for two people, it becomes inconvenient to drive when you have kids. THe good: its very cheap to maintain and very good on gas, 30 + MPG. Its awesome!
Critical Review
Poor performance in the mountains. Great on the open road. Very good mileage. 40 mpg in winter up to 50 in the summer. I drove the car to work every day for years. No problems. 650 miles per week.

Great Gas Mileage-easy to park
No power steering-seats give you a backache
PROS-Superb gas mileage. 38-40 in the summer, 32-36 in the winter. CONS-no power steering. No parts easily available.Have to buy wheels that are not the recommended size, because the Aspire's recommended size are no longer available. Great Car, but only if you have a few Aspire's handy for parts and are either a Ford mechanic or have one that will help you on a barter system- because you will be putting that mechanic to work quite regularly. Biggest frustration- could not discover what problem made the Check Engine Light stay on.
Lots of room, seats lay down for more stuff.
Poor lighting of heater/ac controls, center consol
I have loaned it out to my friends when theirs is in the shop, they all love it. Good pep, good milage, good handling, very dependable. What else is there.
I bought this car used and it's been reliable, economic, and a lot of fun to drive. I took it on a couple road trips and it did a great job although I think if I were going to spend a lot of time on the road I'd want better seats, but then, this is the base model with no extras.

Affordable, fun to drive, easy to maintain
Cold in winter
I love my car, I've had it 15 yrs. and it's never let me down. Excellent on gas, fun to drive, lots of room (I've moved with it a ton), easy to park...love the small size. All around great car.
40 mpg, fun ride,reliable ie the 230000miles
cold in winter, relays in bad spot
Ive owned two of these magnificent little champs! first off the things will run FOREVER with basic maintenance. there fun to drive because of their light weight (its like driving a go cart) and because they literally run on fumes. i have always driven my babys really light so i get some sweet gas mileage, around 40 mpg. The beast has been sitting in my driveway for 6 months went out and started it up like I had just been driving it that day. And there is no gas in the tank so it apparently runs on air. Also really good driving in the winter minus the cold Only cons are cold in the winter due to lack of insulation in the roof and the motor relays on the right side of the motor are stored in rubber cups that face upwards, collecting water in them. I just lifted them out and secured them directly above there original spot. Ulgy little cars on the outside but will grow on you. all in all great, reliable fun cars. I'm not selling this one like I stupidly did my last.
