Positive Review
I looked at a lot of cars before I bought the 2012 Fiat 500 Pop. I tried the Kia Rio, the Hyundai Accent, the VW Beetle and Golf, the Mini Cooper, the Ford Fiesta, The Honda Civic, and the Mazda2. The Fiat 500 was better than any of those cars, at least for me. I am 6' 3" tall and seating was very important to me. The Fiat has better headroom, and more comfortable leg room than the other cars. The Fiat also sits higher than the others, and the doors are taller and wider, so that makes getting in and out much easier. Great visibility! The back seat is tiny on the Fiat 500, so it only for children and small adults, or for storage. I bought the basic Fiat 500 Pop with the only option the automatic transmission. The car comes with air conditioning, power windows/lock/keyless entry, and lots of other higher end stuff. The Fiat 500 Pop has plenty of power, and the automatic is very smooth in shifting. The handing is excellent, and turning is a joy. The car does well on interstates, and does NOT feel like a small car when driving. Fuel economy has been as good, or a bit better than the rating. My combined city highway driving is averaging about 32 mpg. The hatch opens wide, and the rear seats do fold down. They do not fold all the way flat and level with the rear, so that is not as good of a storage as say in the older 2 door Hyundai Accent (sadly, they do not make the 2 door Accent anymore). But still the Fiat 500 has more storage than you would expect. The dash is easy to use and read, and has the body color across the dash. It is a pretty car both inside and out. The most common thing people say to me is, "what a cute car." The Fiat 500 has many color options that competitors just do not offer, especially in base models. Mine is rame (copper) but there are like 14 color options. Overall the price of a Fiat 500 is a great value on a solid and well designed car.
Critical Review
Car has broken down completely three times in 4500 miles. Electronics flip out and shut down transmission, power steering, everything -- a terrifying experience for a jelly bean of a car. Am hoping it breaks down one more time, as 4 times are required in NYS for Lemon Law to kick in. They say that FIAT stands for "Fix It Again, Tony," and they're right. I've seen altogether too much of Tony lately, and I can't get out of my lease, Buyer, beware.

Easy to maneuver on small streets, quick to go!
Small on turnpike.
I bought a couple of weeks ago. Sporty and fun to drive! Easy to maneuver, sleek in design!
We have 91000 miles on our Fiat, we have had very good service from this car. Our only costs have been normal maintenance. We bought this car new in 2013.
Quick, loud, nice finishes.
small and tight cabin.Bad Turning radius.
great runner, and loud. Always started right up. pretty quick. its not as manueravable as a Cooper. Coopers have a multi-link suspension. Fiats have front independent suspension and solid rear axle suspension. Not a track car. But very fun drive.
it's 99.9% pros
American mechanics don't like to work on this car
This is a roomy small vehicle with enough power and excitement to get the job done. it's a head turner at a great price... and the turbo? amazing... I love it
Tiny for city driving
Everything else
Bought this car 1 year ago. Since then I've spent over $9k on repairs and it just gave me a low engine oil pressure warning, meaning it needs a new engine. For the amount I've spent on this car, including what I'd need to spend to keep it running, I could have gotten a new one. Worst car ever.
Kinda cute
Everything. No real pros. Lackluster handling.
Not a sports car by any stretch. Strapping a rocket to a garbage truck doesn't a space shuttle make. Just a slightly above average handling subcompact, that makes a lot of noise, and is very uncomfortable. Abarth means nothing here.
Fun, easy on Gasoline
Be very careful on the freeway near big trucks
Great little thing for running about town. Stores, School, etc. Be advised if you have Auto Trans and drive two footed. With one foot on the brake and the other on the gas pedal It may go into a "Limp Mode shut down". This is a Safety feature brought on by the "Toyota" runaway cars. It's in the owners manual. To reset, limp to a safe spot and shut down engine and remove key for 5 seconds. Restart and good to go. Clean up you driving habits.
Style, Reliability, Gas Milage, Both Auto
Not great in a very strong wind storm
Okay, okay the color has a lot to do with it too. I got the "verde" that super cute soft green (I love this color so much that this is my 2nd one)! I get stopped at gas stations
