What Owners are Saying About the 1992 Eagle Summit

"Do I really want a new car?"

"Have had my '95 Summit DL wagon for nearly 15 years and now contemplate trading her in for a Nissan cube. Parts are hard to find for the Summit, and there's some rust that troubles me (the worst spot is near the gas inlet, and the bolt that holds the rear bumper to the frame has dislodged because of the rust). Just took a long drive and several times I crunched the gears downshifting from 5th to 4th, so I'm wondering if the clutch is starting to go. The car's got only 71K miles and has treated me well. The most comfortable car I could ever imagine, good MPG, fun to drive, and boy can she haul stuff! I love the upright seating and lots of glass for great visibility. And I think my car is so cute - has kind of a friendly look. The more I think about it, the less convinced I am that I want to replace her..."

"Best Vehicle I've Ever Had"

"This car is very dependable, and has not required any major repairs (over 130,000 miles). I get the oil changed every 7500 miles. Recently had a mechanic check it out to give an opinion of what potential problems he could find. Response: "There is nothing wrong with that car. However, if you want to sell it, the mechanic wants to buy it from you." This is an one-owner car, and I've driven it for 11 years."

"Great versatile car, very reliable (Mitsu engine)"

"Unconventional design, (one sliding door) but very easy to get in and out of, seats fold for ALOT of storage space if necessary, enough power if you "get on it hard", very easy to drive and park in small spaces, and pretty good gas mileage for an 18 year old car. Roof rack, rear hatch, power everything and cruise (a must), and starts every time. Mitsubishi drive train should last forever...."
