Positive Review
I own a TNT motorsports Serpent 655 number 11 of 12. The car has 505 hp and 505 ft lb of torque to the rear wheels on the dyno at D.C. Performance. The car is a handfull to drive, no top, no windows, no power steering, just all motor and driveline. It is a drivers car and is not forgiving, you need to pay attention. That being said you can not, for the money, buy a better exotic true american sportscar. Valet...always up front, wherever it's parked... always a crowd! Zero to 100 in 7.5 seconds, low 11s in the quarter and handles like a go kart!! mad fun!
Critical Review
From day one the car has done nothing but nickel and dime me. Tires are hard to find and it goes through them like water through a duck. The fuel pump went bad. The rear end went bad twice. I have put in a new transmission and now its starting to make noise. The engine is starting to smoke. Everything is EXPENSIVE TO FIX ON THIS CAR. If I had to do it over I would have spent the money on an older classic like a 57 Chevy or something that goes up in value not down in value every day. Parts are a pain to find. And the car drives like a garbage truck. Loud and noisy.

My 1998 Dodge viper RT 10 is everything I wished and hope for in a car. I would recommend this car to anyone who's looking for a true sports car!!

beauty, turns heads, loads of power on demand
no respect equals death.
1998 Dodge Viper GTS is one of those cars it is amazing. Many people say that this car will kill you. That's a big negative. This car will kill you if you do not respect it. The thing about the Viper is there is loads and loads of grip. Until there is not. There really is no middle ground with this thing. Other than that, I love the car, picked mine up in the upper 30's. Blue with white stripes. When you drive it like a sensible person it's awesome. My wife loves driving it as well.
very fun
fast and loud, least mine is
put 4 star because i hate the hard top, so heavy you need 2 people to remove it or install it, handling could be better, im afraid taking the turns fast, another 4 star because my car has under 6000 miles and already my starter is acting up, sometimes ill be trying to start it at gas station and its only click click :-)) kind of embarrassing when it does that when tons of people looking at you and you sitting trying to start the car, guarantee you every time when you try to start the car there tons of people stop and looking at you and want to hear it start :-))) and mine does click click thats it lol, other than that its a beast !!!!!
Purchased from auction with salvage title, always wanted one, 5000 miles, car is like new, when i found out how much is the price to restore the car and parts price wow, do not crash it or you gonna end up spending thousands, for me it was worth purchasing another car and end up purchasing second car to restore mine, end up spending all together 25000 and i still have the second car with engine and body parts, after i sell all those im gonna end up probably with 15000 car that i spent to build my dream car, fast and respect its power, i drove lots of sport cars, but this one is the only car that will try to kill you if you do not respect your throttle, very fast and easy to loose control. over all LOVE it!!!!!
yeah my 2002 Rt10 with 5000 miles value showing 33K, absolutely wrong, you can dream getting this car for 33K, they selling 50K range all over the place. Love the car and wont sell it for nothing.
Wicked fast, a blast to drive, great looks
Wiring engineering in the doors. paint quality
I own the GTS ACR coupe. I have always wanted one and bought this in 2004. Funnest car I have ever owned. I've got to laugh at some of the reviews. My car gets maintenanced as required and has never broke down. I have full race track driven it 4 times, auto-crossed it 3 times. I am a member of a Viper owners club and have great fun traveling in our cars with them. The looks the cars get and thumbs up is astounding. I am on my second set of tires. If you are replacing multitudes of tires you either drive like a madman/woman or you need an alignment/shocks/maintenance. Parts are expensive but so are parts for an Audi. Or in the case of my Honda Hybrid, batteries and a $4000 replacement GPS stereo. Quality of the car is a bit lacking. Door wiring has been an issue and if you lean on the center console it will crack. Those of you with a Y imprinted in the covering of your console that is what you have done. I bought some supports for the console that go underneath and have had no problems since. Don't believe anyone who says they don't handle, they handle very well. You need to learn throttle management. Brakes are a little weak. I have had them overheat on a track day. Different fluid has seemed to end that issue. I'd get a new one if I wasn't getting ready to retire.
