Positive Review
Dodge Stratus 2004 Two door Rt coupe Black, ac, power windows, moon roof, CD radio, nice sounds, new rotor, new distributor cap, new spark plugs, new motor for drivers door, two-new tires, only three were matching when I purchased it, so I bought two new ones and kept one for spare, kept up with oil changes, new wipers, blk leather interior, which is all nice except for the drivers seat so I put seat covers and Armor All the seats, changed and updated a few other things of which I kept all my receipts for.
Critical Review
The transmission is leaking and threatening. The engine leaks oil. The manifold cracked because the full weight of the exhaust system is on the weld to the header and a single screw set up. The wires and plugs, battery, and air filter are difficult to reach, so doing some basics myself becomes impossible. In the first years, the car was fine, reliable, kind of boring, but efficient. The last 20,000 when everyone told me I'd be fine another 50k or more, well, lots of issues. This is a poorly designed vehicle if one wants to keep a car more than a short time.

Low cost sporty coupe. Fun to drive, impressive performance for the price and a nice interior. Keep thinking of letting it go and then change my mind. At 20 yrs old it still drives and looks good!
Looks sharp runs good
Minor interior defects
I have really enjoyed my car. I have loaned it to family members for comfort and economy. It's a gas saver and it runs well. The only thing I don't like is that it sits low and would be better for younger drivers not seniors.
Everything
A/C went out but not until 170k miles
My Dodge Stratus RT has never had anything wrong with it until about 170k miles when the a/c went out. I have loved this car! V6 and It gets great gas mileage yet has superior pick up! It handles like a dream...practically drives itself! I would recommend it to anyone!
Nice engine sound in the cab
Torquey
Best car that i ever owned haves about 181K miles on it and only had to replaced the alternator, battery, tires. The front end is still tight and the rear is still good, still haves the factory balljoints and control arm bushings and non of them are worn out surprisingly! The shine of the car really looks amazing during sunset and daytime. The room in the interior is a little packed but im not gonna complain. They are good cars to own and they are reliable and bulletproof!
Good car
Fun to drive and very roomy
Some repairs thru the years.
I bought my 2005 Dodge Stratus used in 2010 with 32k miles for $8,700. Ten years later the car has 140k miles and it is still going. I really like the styling of the car, it's fun to drive and very roomy. Never had a problem with the six cylinder engine and the transmission. The major repairs over the years have been a fuel pump, 2 alternators, a.c. recharge and two rear struts. I have enjoyed my Dodge Stratus and recommend purchasing used one.
Lots of power & control!
Wish the mileage was above 20 mpg
The 2.7L engine gives you ALL of the power you'll ever need and then some, It gets about 20 mpg so it's not a gas hog. I still love it's styling and think it's an excellent value. Air conditioner, power windows & locks, cruise control, nice stereo system and front wheel drive. I have my eyes on a 1985 Cadillac Seville or I'd keep this car for a long time as a back up car.
Nothing
Everything
I did my best to take care of this car and it only gave me issue after issue after issue for the two years I had it. I know it was used and had high miles, but still. Alternator went out, thermostat blew up completely, ignition had to be replaced, cylinder head issues, leaking water pump. Hated it. So glad to have moved on to a beautiful Mazda 3!
