Positive Review
The front seats are comfortable, the second row is a bit less, and the third row has little leg room and is very difficult to get in and out of. The driving ability going forward is great but to back up and to see out the sides to back up has a lot of blind spots. The car does not have a lot of pick up when passing other vehicles and the vehicle can get out of control if sudden maneuvers are made from side to side.
Critical Review
NEVER b4 have I ever had such problems with a car...and I am 65 years old and have had plenty of cars. Less than 2 years old with only 7500 miles on it, and we are afraid to take out-of-town trips with it. As soon as it gets out of the shop for the latest problems it is having, we are trading it in for a Honda. Take the loss. Don't believe me....google problems with Dodge Journey and read the horror stories about this car! I will NEVER buy a Chrysler product again.

Great on gas, nice features
Very light weight, no 4 wheel drive , slips around in bad weather
Bought used in great shape - super clean
I was able to compare a lot of cars and features to find exactly what i needed. they have a lot of options to customize your search. and options for finding it in your budget.
Everything
I purchased the car with 69,000 original miles. Literally everything has gone wrong with it. All of the cheap plastic trim has broken. I have had to replace the clock spring twice at $1200 each time. The engine is leaking oil but they can't find from where. I have had to replace the ignition coils twice. The car isn't happy unless one light is on on the dash. It's either the airbag light, the tire pressure indicator, or the check engine light. I also just had to replace the transmission. Save your money, never buy a dodge.
This vehicle is owned by an elderly couple & is in excellent condition. We hope to move back to our home state in the near future & plan to sell this vehicle. We are researching the current vehicle value at this time.
Roomy, good gas mileage
Outdated audio, no rear camera, no nav
I enjoy owning this vehicle. The issues I have mostly our cosmetic for example, the armrest on the driver door is all cracked. I keep the car waxed, but the paint job is not all that good with lots of chips all over. Also, there are six recalls on this vehicle so if you were to buy one this year, I would definitely make sure that those recalls have been taken care of. It’s comfortable And handles well in the rain.
It worked for a while
Total Engine Failure Catastrophic
We had the oil housing replaced because it was plastic with a metal one and next thing I know the engine died right after
2019 Dodge Journey, was a fleet auto for a construction sales vehicle. Drove it from 3500 miles to 130,000 and never fully felt that the vehicle would perform @100%. More electric issues than drivetrain. Sync Bluetooth constantly was major issues, especially needing navigation daily. 3 starters, multiple batteries which is removed from the fender well compartment. Crazy to engineer it that way. Otherwise it took a beating and kept running. Positive is the AC, brakes and drivetrain never failed. Great gas mileage vehicle. 3.5 rating
I bought my Dodge Journey new in 2009, it during the cash for clunkers program. It has 248,500 miles on it and still running strong. I kept up with all maintenance schedules, oil changes, tune-ups and transmission services. I did have to replace normal wear and tear items. I also replaced some sensors and parts like starter and alternator. I live in Ohio and it only has 2 small rusts spots on it. I could not be happier with this vehicle. Hopefully I it will make it many more years and miles.
