"One Fun Car"

I have had this car about a month now and I love it. I have 6cyl SXT edition with the Rallye package. I currently average about 24 city and 30 hwy. We took this vehicle on a short roadtrip just to test and see if the fuel economy was as good as advertised and were pleased with the 30 MPG. The enterior is spacious and seats 4 adults and a car seat comfortably. I love the push button start and the fact I don't need to get my key out to unlock and start the car. This may not have a Hemi but it pretty quick. Fast enough that I have to watch my speed because I'm usually going faster than I realize. I like the climate, stereo and blue tooth controls being integrated into one screen. I love that the MP3 decoder picks up my phones music wirelessly. No need to take the time and plug in the cord. My one complaint with this car is the gaurd that pops up in the front of the moonroof is made of mesh. This does help prevent bugs from getting in the car however it makes huge amounts of noise at highway speeds. It is also impossible to clean. In order for the gaurd to be visable the moonroof has to be open and unless you want bugs, cleaner and water in the car you can't clean it while open. You would almost need to remove it and clean it away from the car and in my opinion that is just rediculous. This is a RWD car so I would caution anyone wanting to buy this who has to drive in the snow. It handles great in the rain and typical driving conditions though. I have a Subaru for snow and a Charger for fun.

Critical Review

"Fine design, fine car, but not perfect."

3rd Charger. Second with a Hemi. I love the car in every way, except the most important one: I purchased it new, and a few weeks after purchase, the Hemi motor started making ominous sounds. After many trips to the dealership without repair (they all do that and it's just a charcteristic), I got fed up. Long story short, the Mfr is refusing to stand behind their product, and they'll pay for it. Do not take no for an answer from the dealership or the Mfr. Follow the maintenance recommendations to a tee, do not modify anything, and make them repair it.

It's ok
Pros

Cool look. Lasted a long time before needing maintenance.

Cons

Not enough accessories. Cheap interior. Bad pedal design. Probably not for big and tall people.

I have a 2014 se. Bought it when it was over 45k. As much as I love the look and how long it has lasted me before needing any sort of big maintenance, my husband is 6 feet tall and cannot fit in this car to his comfort to drive it no matter how much he adjusts it. And I am only 5'0 feet tall and I am having ankle problems from the pedals. Gas is lower than the brake pedal and can't seem to find the right level for my comfort. I have so much comfort from other vehicle pedals...but not this charger standard edition 2014 model. Interior inside seems cheap and there is not enough accessories to accommodate the driver or passengers. It truly is a simple car. The oil filter housing rests on top of the engine and is not made of good quality. Many chargers having this problem of over torquing the oil filter or the cheap material of the housing causing a huge oil leak under the transmission pan. Never got a low oil message warning but instead got a check engine light for low emissions leak. By the time I drained my oil it was about 3 quarts of oil left and wonder how the engine didn't blow out. Wish there would have been a warning for that and saved the vehicle in time. Other than that I hope to have this vehicle last me til the end.

Big car ride with excellent road handling steering
Pros

AWD , Performance, Ride quality and reliability

Cons

The RWD Vehicles need GOOD All Season Tires or Winter tread tires in Winter

I have owned 5 Chargers and All exceeded my expectations. Luv the AWD for Winter/Snow dicey roads

Great work car
Pros

Spacious, smooth, economical gas friendly, stylish

Cons

Insurance will be way up there even though the targeted thefts are related to R/Ts and bigger engine. Expect to pay $300 for full coverage

Bought my 2022 sxt Charger 2 yrs ago. Great work car. Smooth, economic, and very reliable. Couldn't have chosen a better work car.

Power, style and versatility!!!
Pros

Spacious interior, smooth ride, powerful engine, user friendly tech

Cons

Poor fuel economy, heavy weight, interior quality, rear view visibility

Since I bought this car, the Dodge Charger has been a thrilling ride. Its powerful engine options, especially the V8, deliver exceptional performance, making every drive exciting. The car’s bold design turns heads, and the interior is spacious enough for both family trips and solo commutes. The Uconnect infotainment system is easy to use, keeping me connected on the go. While the fuel economy isn’t great with the larger engines, it’s a fair trade-off for the power and performance. The ride is smooth, and it handles surprisingly well for its size. Overall, the Dodge Charger combines muscle car spirit with everyday practicality, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice.

Fun to drive

Had a 2006 Charger (owned) along with a 2016 and 2022 Charger (leases). These cars have tons of trunk and inside compartment space. Handle beautifully at any speed. Heartbroken that they are being turned into an EV.
