Certified by Volvo
Volvo, the Swedish brand by Chinese giant Zhejiang Geely Holding since 2010, has moved upscale in the past decade, and its certified pre-owned program, Certified by Volvo, reflects that near-luxury status with generous benefits.
Used Volvo vehicles must be five years old or newer and have less than 80,000 miles of use to qualify for the program. Candidates undergo a 170-plus point inspection and road test and receive reconditioning service where necessary using genuine Volvo replacement parts. A Carfax vehicle history report confirms a clean title and covers the vehicle with a buyback guarantee should a buyer discover title issues after purchase.
The Certified by Volvo warranty begins upon the expiration of the original new-car warranty (4 years/50,000 miles) or on the date of used-vehicle purchase, whichever is later, and lasts one year with unlimited miles. Roadside assistance accompanies the warranty. This program includes payment of up to $75 per towing incident, rental car reimbursement for up to 10 days at up to $35 per day, and travel reimbursement of up to $1000 for covered mechanical breakdowns if the incident strands you more than 100 miles from home for up to 10 days.
