Genesis Certified
Genesis is Hyundai Motor Company’s luxury brand. It launched in the United States with the 2017 G80 and G90 sedans and has since expanded to a lineup that includes the G70 compact sedan, GV60 electric SUV, GV70 and GV80 gas-powered SUVs, and the Electrified G80 and Electrified GV70 – a swift start in under a decade.
With some time under its belt, Genesis has spawned a crop of used luxury vehicles and has a certified pre-owned program called “Genesis Certified.” All Genesis Certified vehicles are used Genesis models five model years old or newer with fewer than 60,000 miles of use and a clean vehicle history report. Candidate vehicles undergo a 191-point inspection and reconditioning process, with any repairs or replacements using genuine Genesis parts.
Genesis Certified vehicles have a 6-year/75,000-mile limited warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, each calculated from the vehicle’s original in-service date and zero miles. Roadside assistance runs for 10 years and unlimited miles from the in-service date. In case of a mechanical breakdown, Genesis provides a rental car for up to 10 days at up to $50 per day. The program also includes trip interruption coverage, though the terms are not clearly defined.
