Introduction
Launched in 2006 and currently in its third generation, the Acura RDX is a premium compact crossover from the luxury division of Honda. The 5-door SUV is more petite than its larger sibling, the midsize MDX.
Holding its place as one of the two solely gas-powered SUVs from the Japanese automaker, the RDX remains consistently popular with a modern, luxury-leaning interior, generous space, pleasant performance, a comfortable passenger experience, and available all-wheel drive (AWD). While the 2021 model did not take home any Kelley Blue Book awards, the vehicle consistently earns high safety ratings. It is a solid choice for those looking for a value-laden luxury crossover.

KBB Review Highlights
Well-equipped with value-added features, the 2021 Acura RDX is a luxury compact crossover designed to give buyers all they need in a pretty package. Fully refreshed in 2022, the 2021 model carried over the last body updates and front-wheel-drive options from the second generation.
This generation of the RDX also gained a roomier cabin, a generous suite of standard equipment, a powerful engine with some oomph, nice fuel economy, a luxuriously comfortable ride, and a sound system crafted by the Grammy-winning ELS Audio team. The 2021 model marked an improved connectivity experience through the 10.2-inch infotainment screen while maintaining the use of the somewhat polarizing trackpad navigation system. Succeeding years have brought minor updates to sound and connectivity systems, but major systems like the powertrain with a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine and 10-speed transmission RDX have remained the same.
High safety ratings and effortless good looks make the 2021 Acura RDX a favorite for buyers who love the combination of premium features and an enhanced purchasing experience at a more manageable price point than its competitors.
