There are almost two dozen plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) on the market in 2018. All provide the combination of full-electric, zero-emission driving as well as a traditional gasoline-powered engine. PHEVs also offer great fuel economy and long mileage ranges. We gathered four of these plug-in hybrids — the Chevrolet Volt, the Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid, the Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid and the Toyota Prius Prime — and did a comparison test over a long-distance California road trip. The chart below serves up some of the more important numbers for each of these vehicles, making it easier to decide which of these PHEVs may be right for you.
