"Best car I ever owned"

Just had some routine maintenance done today, along with being detailed. Mechanics seemed thrilled to work on it. It's a 1998 and looks like it just left the showroom.

"First Car"

I owned this car for 3 years because thats all i could take. It was awesome for awhile then the problems started. These cars are famous for really bad front ends, mine was no different. The front ball joints, tie rods, sway bars, etc. all broke. I had to spend thousands on replacements and it still caused problems. After awhile the whole electronic system was messing up causing the car to die. If you buy this car make sure it is already well off and prepare to replace the front end.

Old But Good "Summer Car"

I've owned this car since 2000, loved it so much I shipped it to Hawaii when I moved there and back when I returned. I LOVE This Car, but family is forcing me to sell it. I've had a few bumper benders in front, but last time insurance company couldn't find paint color posting, so I had to register it as salvaged. But it's a good car, just needs some TLC. Good engine (needs new smog hose though), strong transmission & excellent brakes. Convertible pump needs oil about once a year due to small leek in hose (should be fixable, but I've just dealt with it for last 4-5 yrs)

Chrysler Sebring Convertible 1999
Pros

Great quality, styling, comfort with top-down fun

Cons

Only two small cup holders

I bought this car at the dealership in 1999 and have loved it for 25 years! It's so much fun to drive! The styling is still great and the original paint is still beautiful. The radio works well although the cassette tape player broke about 10 years ago and the multi CD player doesn't work well. Like one reviewer mentioned, the cup holders are small. The trunk is large, especially for a convertible. I've been able to buy original equipment online, so when the sideview mirror broke, it was easy to find another one, brand new. Favorite time to put the top down? In the early evening, when it's cooler outside, with the AC vents blowing heat. I'll be keeping this car indefinitely.

favorite car I have ever owned
Pros

Elegant ,Sporty, Reliable daily driver, Fast, FUN

Cons

cup holder to small.. that's the only con I have

this Sebring is the 2.5 V6 engine. (the 2.7 engine is the "sludge engine") I bought this car JUST to get home when i was stranded. Figured I'd resale it when I got home BUT, WOW I fell in LOVE with this car. Very comfortable even for long distance driving as it is very roomy inside for not only the driver but front AND backseat passengers. Has a large trunk. The convertible top does NOT block your view in any way as most other convertibles do. Garage floor is clean so there are zero leaks. Factory sound system sounds clean and crisp. Drives wonderful, handles curves and bumps in roads easily. took it up to 90 MPH and it was as if I was driving 35, so smooth, breaks on a dime.. without spilling my coffee. Cruse control on steering wheel and works wonderful which I use daily because it is so easy to speed in this car and not no it. I average 28 mpg, not bad for a 21 year old car.. The design of this car is almost Italian looking with its curves (just beautiful) I get complements on her EVERY day. The 21 year old interior is like new, no fading and no loosening of the leather, the dash has no cracks. it has the original canvas top which still looks great but will have to replace the back glass as it is slipping due to the glue no longer sticking after 21 years. The only complain I have is it would be nice to have bigger cup holders. oh did I mention that this car is FAST....I was offered 6 grand for her yesterday at the super market ..my reply.. "I would not sell her for 10 grand" They just don't make them like this any more .. I do not know of another car with the comfort, style, reliability and fun factor of the 2000 Chrysler Sebring Convertible 2.5...

Great car! and I'm a muscle car fan!
Pros

Some stated above.

Cons

I still have to wash it!

Automatic Leather seats that are so comfortable. A sound system that Rocks! The engine gives me no-problems, and sounds terrific! The Transmission Gear-ratio is spot-on! Wouldn't sell this car for TWICE the KBB values shown! I'm keeping this one! Putting the top down and driving along the coast!

1996 - Greatest Car Ever!
Pros

fun to drive, reliable

Cons

none

Bought this off the show room floor and have been driving it since. Have 170,000 miles, painted it 2x, 1 new roof and 4 sets of tires, but runs great, handles great and is fun to drive at all speeds. Was considering a new car this year, 2017, but after test driving 35-50k cars decided to keep this running with new motor mounts, etc.

Still lovely after all these years!
Pros

This is a lovely car, still so much fun, performs

Bought this car in 2002, it had been a rental so milage was high. It has been my everyday commute and fun car and not garaged. We now have 188,000 on it and it still runs great! Replaced the top in 2013, not because of leaked but because back window stitching started to separate. Interior has held up remarkably well, no rips or fading. So far we have only done minor repairs, replaced driver window motor, convertible top lift motor, changed the oil regularly, and bought new tires, and changed the battery.
