"Reliable family vehicle"

We bought it used at 4 years old and it is now 10 years old. It has been very reliable and has not given us problems. We drive it to Texas about twice a year. We love the comfort and ride. I recommend to others who have a large family/children.

Critical Review

"Very Satisfied"

We have really enjoyed our van, especially the roominess. We have 134,000 miles on it and it is still running great. It did seem there for a while (early on) that we had it in the shop a lot, brake problems, leaks, etc., but once all that got ironed out, it's been great. We're finally ready to trade it in, but only because we want a hybrid vehicle. We've owned it eight years.

Spent a lot of money on it
Pros

Enjoy viewing angle, comfortable, roomy

Cons

Unreliable in hot weather, goes dead.

I bought this van from its 2nd owner and it seemed to be in pretty good condition. That was two years ago and since then I've spent about $1500 on repairs. It still goes dead in the middle of traffice when it heats up and no one, not even the dealership, can determine why. The head gasket has been replaced along with the thermostat, radiator, etc. Everything that might be a contributor has been replaced and it still is unreliable when driving in heat. Fine in cooler weather. Otherwise, it is a comfortable vehicle. Just don't think I'd buy another one.

Cons

Mine has minor tranny fluid leak

I am a self employed contractor. I bought this van used, in 2005 as an alternative to a full size van or pickup, as I do a lot of work in Boston where parking is tight, and some work on Cape Cod which is a long ride in a stiff truck. Also wanted something I could use for "civilian" activities. I was so impressed with this vehicles capabilities and usefulness that I kept it until now. Truth be told, ever since I got it it had a transmission leak which was never fixed due to cost (a seal or gasket shrinks in cold, fluid leaks, the route I took was tin winter months, I warm up engine so gasket can expand/swell up, then ck fluid before driving). Other than that, no major issues. Love this van so much that I am purchasing a newer one this week, only because I feel like treating myself to something new! 150000 miles, I've hauled upwards of 1200 pounds in this thing with no problems, no drag on power. Still rides strong and smooth. Still has original brakes and suspension!

Most reliable

I purchased this van in Sept. 2006, to use as a cargo van. By the way the engine is a 3.3 flexfuel. Works great on E-85. It had 122,000 miles on it. All highway miles. It now has 239,000 on and still going strong. Still all highway miles. The only major replacement was the torque converter in the transmission. I have always maintained the engine, due to constant use. When I contacted the former owner, and asked why he traded it, he stated that he did not want to be left setting, as he lives in a very rural area. His loss was my gain.

seven years

We've had ours since 2003. It has 9800 miles and has NEVER given us ANY problems. It has a towing package, and use it to haul around an 8x6 cargo trailer with my wife's arts and crafts business. Chrysler may be in trouble with it's car line , but it has ALWAYS led in making the best minivans...

Great Family Car

We bought the van used in 2004 with 30K on it. Ran it till 100,000K on it. Changed fluids and serviced yearly. Never put more than $ 600 per year in service costs into it the entire time.

never needed a major repair

I've had this vehicle for 8 years and love it. It has taken my family and friends many places across the US. I am looking for another vehicle just as reliable with a little better gas mileage. Mine only gets about 21 mpg average and most of my miles are highway driven
