Positive Review
I'm so sad that Chevrolet stopped making the Venture Van. I would buy another one without hesitation. It has taken us to Mexico, Canada, Florida, Southern CA, Washington. It has moved our kids over long distances - some of them twice. It has been a great car - all 221,000 miles.
Critical Review
Me and my wife bought a 02 chevy Venture. It had 18000 miles on it we did a carfax report on it.And it showed to have been a good vehical. We now have 66000 on it and have serviced it on time the whole time weve owned it. The things weve had go wrong with the van we questioned the local chevrolet dealer about the problems and they told us yup you,ve mentioned all the things that went wrong with that van. Nice huh makes us want to rush out and go into another payment on poor workmanship and quality.Of coarse the warrenty went up at 36000 but around 40000 our a/c quit we had a mechanic look at it the condensor up by the radiator has a crack in it but they make a new mounting kit now that cussions it better so that it wont crack again. We had antifreeze start to come up missing its an intake manifold gasket seeping it out.The Gas guage is always on full they feel thats wiring or a sending unit problem. The Abs light is always on they feel that is a sensor down by the wheel. The engine has a tick they said ( Thats normal knock on wood it should stay together.) Knock on wood it does I definetly wont buy a Gm anything when its paid off. And would not recomend this van to anyone I like.

I love this van just be aware they are notorious for blown head gaskets though. I replaced mine and never had trouble again
Dependable Has a backup sensor when you get close
Extended ban takes a large parking space
One owner original miles maintenance regularly Dependable Good tires 3 row seats. Seats remove if you need to haul anything
it is so comfortable to drive and very roomy.
none
this is my car since 2012--an older couple had it before me and it was low mileage then....I have new tires on it, new struts, all seats have never been used and are clean. I used this car minimally to haul furniture or household items. It has low mileage for it's age. I regularly get the oil changed, the transmission oil was recently changed. There are no tears or rips inside. The electronics are good, the door slides open well, radio works well. A new battery was installed Jan. 2021. I'm not ready to sell it quite yet, but you will be impressed with how well it runs...I take good care of my vehicles. I can get close to 500 miles on a tank of gas depending on highway or city driving. The van is a medium brown with light brown interior. Besides the regular glove box, there is one underneath the passenger seat. This van is so roomy you can haul a lot of people and other things when needed. 4 feet wide and 8 feet behind the front seats. Two side doors, one is power operated.
Runs good but that is my only Pro
Everything is a con with this poorly designed van
Nice minivan but very uncomfortable to drive, My biggest complaint is the seats have no arm rests. I can not believe that General Motors would puts seats with no arm rests in this van? This van is very uncomfortable to drive with no arm rest for your right arm !!! I feel like I am leaning to the right the entire time I'm driving this van and a right arm rest is absolutely necessary. Terrible design flaw !!! So many little things have had to be repaired, like window regulators, climate control switch, grille is very weak and cracks easily, too many things to list...
easy driver, plenty of space to haul
too many mechanical issues
I bought mine for $700 when I was 16. It was in semi-good condition. I've had this car for two years now and just purchased a 2000 Honda Odyssey to replace it. I love this Chevy Venture though, it has a lot of personality but as a long term driver it's not good. Half of it's time under my ownership it has been in the shop fixing issue after issue but while under my ownership I have baby'd it. It was getting towards the end of it's life when I first purchased it and fixed everything that needed to be fixed to somewhat prolong it's life. Repairs were getting too expensive and even after replacing and putting new parts in it would break a few months later. If they made new models of this van I would probably consider purchasing but for now I'll transition over to my new Honda.
I love this van
I have nothing bad to say about that the van

Hi I kind of got stuck buying this van 2 years ago after daughter totaled my other one. In two years Ive sunk 5k into a van workth 800. But I got it through buy here pay here lot and spent 10k for it. Ive replaced 2 alternators 6 months apart, fixed transmission, replaced wiper transmission and its still not right so only using left wiper right now, replaced ac control module, heater fan, tuned it up, brakes, tires, and when I got it it was infested with cockroaches, replaced serpentine belt,
