Positive Review
I have owned many fine cars, among them 4 Mercedes, a Shelby, and others... I love cars and the technical aspects as well as the practical side. This '21 Tahoe Premier is as fine a driving car as is made today. The 3.0l diesel is incredible, I've owned diesels since '77 when I picked one up in Stuttgart, and I've had 6 since that time. I drove 515 miles back home upon taking delivery in Kellogg, Id. going into a slight head wind and keeping her at 73 mph, (1500) rpm, most of the time, I averaged 30.9 mpg. Upon driving around town the next week, I averaged 27.5 to 28.5 around, finally filling up the tank for the first time, some 670 miles later... very impressive. Even more impressive was the ride/handling... I ordered the "magnetic ride" and again the complete package is beyond incredible. Fit and finish is excellent, interior outstanding, quiet at the top levels of any vehicle. A couple of mistakes on GM's part... the "hanger hook" on the 2nd row drivers side is a tiny "one small hanger" thing... no good, should be the regular hand hold type which will fit many hangers and lots of weight. Next, no disk player, had I known this I may not have ordered the Tahoe, $70,000 and no disk player, that's robbery. The last thing is, I was not aware that the Nav system required a monthly fee, apparently. I have not had time to go through all the systems, but the NAV seems to be lacking. I give this Tahoe 5 stars all the way through except the above mentioned... you can drive for days in the car and never feel tired or worn out.
Critical Review
I bought a 2021 Chevy Tahoe and the car has been in the shop 5, yes “FIVE” times for an electrical/infotainment issue that the dealership cannot seem to fix. First visit was within the first three days of purchase. I love the look, the way it drives. From the outside, the car is perfect. Open the door and you open Pandora’s box. It goes in with one issue, comes out with two. The employees on hand are unable to resolve the issues. I am told GM is now being called for “virtual” assistance. Save your money and time. Confidence is lost and makes the entire buying experience regretful.

I really don’t know why it has such a low rating because my Tahoe is the best! I haven’t had any issues with it, and going strong at 50,000 miles. Beautiful, luxurious & trustworthy.
Give's me about 22- 28 MPG Full tank 85 525 per tank HWY Miles, I don't do much city miles.
Depreciation of the SUV.
I have the 5.3 Tahoe LT 2021 and its been amazin so far, I have 90k on it and theres no more words to say, that Chevrolet Taho is very reliable as longest you do the maintenance Oil change, Tranny and diferentials. I recommend to change the cerpentine belt every 50,000. Strong SUV and Lots of people wantiung to buy my SUV but is not for sale. By the way this is my 4th Tahoe in 20 years and I usually put about 100, 000 miles every 5 years. I'm planing on keeping this SUV till needs a new engine and I will comback and give updates on this review. I whish the price should come down since is an American SUV should be more riachable for any income.
My 2021 high country deluxe was in service over 300 combine days. I am waiting on General Motor to compensate me as the vehicle just went out of the three year warranty. They've had it in service for one of the three years. I've owned it. Today I sold it to the dealer because mice got into the vehicle. That was the dealers responsibility so they gave me a good deal on buying it back.
Absolutely love this SUV. The park assist camera views make parking this Tahoe a breeze in small garages and cities. Comfortable ride and plenty of space. I can get >20mpg on the highway. Have not had any mechanical issues. Previously was a jeep owner and will not go back. Cannot recommend this SUV enough.
Ordered 2wd diesel RST for road-trips with the family. This thing doesn’t disappoint 33-38mpgs highway for a full size that is ridiculous!! Had a jaguar f-pace diesel would get high 20s at best, expedition 18-20. We’re sold on this thing. Tahoe for the win. Space, easy to park, pulls boat fine, road-trip machine. No complaints or issues.
Diesel and mpg
Price
We got our Tahoe right as the computer chip outage began. It was a special order that the customer did not take in the end. Brown on brown high country. We have put 39,000 miles on it. It has been to the shop once for a hvac diverter that was getting “stuck”. We never experience an issue with it but the dealer was proactive and took care of it. A few updates to the ecu some recall work, no issues found. I also drive a Chevy Silverado 2500 and my recommendation is find a dealer that you can trust and you will enjoy you car. I would buy the Tahoe again we love the great mpg of the diesel, the room and interior.
Good size vehicle
Constantly in the repair shop at the dealership
We bought our Chevy Tahoe 4x4 diesel a year ago and it spends more time in the dealership repair shop than on the road. We just got it back a few weeks ago and it’s back in the shop. This time when we get it back it’s getting traded in on a Toyota.
Looks Sharp
Looks are deceiving.
Coming out of a 2018 Suburban LT 4WD, I'd hoped Chevrolet would at least maintain its levels of quality and comfort, if not continue to improve upon them. This is not the case. The dash is cluttered with buttons with some of them redundant in the infotainment system. The seating is less comfortable. The fit, finish and materials are a step down. The tight, solid feeling I had in the Suburban is not present in this vehicle. The air ride suspension does nothing to improve ride and may be a detriment to handling and overall driving confidence. The black chrome grillwork began chipping and pealing almost immediately - a common problem both the dealers and factory seem to ignore. I would rate my 2000 and 2018 LT 4WD Suburbans as having been competent; 4 stars. They were bigger, heavier and still got better gas mileage, and they handled and drove better than this thing. This Tahoe, even with the upscale Z71 trim package, is only adequate. With a $78,000 sticker price, you'd expect more of the basic comfort than you receive. It has been a disappointment. I cannot recommend this vehicle.
