Positive Review
I bought this Tahoe used in 2003, it had 120,000 miles on it at that time. The insurance agent for the dealership was its first owner. I was very skeptical about buying a vehicle with this many miles, but I knew the dealership in Minnesota and the price I paid for a fully loaded Tahoe, was unmatched here in Washington. This Tahoe has been very reliable, the maintenance has been kept up on it and to this day, the Tahoe still has its original exhaust system; the transmission and engine are in excellent running order; I'm truly amazed! It looks good too!
Critical Review
Around 100,000 miles this vehicle needed a lot of repairs: fuel, pump, water pump, PS pump, intake gasket, electrical issue and a water leak. Its a great truck, but it has cost me a small furtune to keep running.

I’m very satisfied with this vehicle because it is tough and durable. The supercharged v8 vortec engine is powerful and capable of long hauls with a good bit of weight in tow. My only complaint is that the powerful v8 only allows approximately 15mpg when properly maintained. But other than the gas mileage being a little expensive in today’s economy, it has been a very good investment. It runs great as long as she gets the attention she needs when she asks for, she’ll be yours forever. And this vehicle is easy to work on for novice mechanics or someone just wanting to learn about the basic maintenance and common diy repairs.
These trucks are reaching collector status. Obs chevys bodystyle is 30 plus years old and are not daily use anymore. Collector insurance is a must
What’s not to love
Older car, Rust, 100mph governor, repairs.
It’s a classic so you’re bound to have issues. With the old age comes the basic repairs, new oil filters, fuel filters, etc. But she is still a joy to drive. I got my beauty from my grandfather, The captain chairs in the front are spacious and comfortable for long drives, The cupholder in the dash, radio and climate controls. The driving experience is amazing, feels like you are driving a sedan. The bar door trunk is annoying when trying to see out the rear view mirror. This is an absolutely amazing vehicle.
well maintained drives nice, rust o rocker panels, feels old, but runs food, lets see how many miles i can get out of it
A delight to operate im all weather conditions
If want: AC and cruise control need attention.
As of February 15th, 2022: I have owned this vehicle for 16 years, Owner's manual. Maintenance and repair records available for review. Last emissions and Utah registration Aug. 25, 2021. Great all weather vehicle. New re-manufactured motor with 6,727 miles, 4GYWRL tires with 3,214 miles, new battery 11 months old, new radiator and thermostat 1 month old . All electronics fully operational except that CD player needs maintenance. Cruise control has a sluggish set button. AC runs cold with a pinhole leak. All fluids topped off, all five tires correct pressure ( full size spare). For sale as is.
Everything is a pro
Gas mileage, but that is alright. It is awesome!
