Positive Review
Bought one new in 2001 and it has performed well for me during that time.I pull several medium to heavy trailers and have put 200,000+ miles in mostly stop and go traffic with probably a third+ of that towing.Changed both front wheel bearings and a few other minor repairs other than parts designed to wear.It is on the 4th set of tires and is ready for the fifth set.Just bought a 2012 Dodge 2500 diesel and am going to sell the Chevy...I expect to get around $5500/6000 for it.I think this truck will go another 100,000 miles with a bit of care and cash.As far as getting through terrain it is unstoppable...Never been stuck.
Critical Review
There was nowhere in the description of my truck, for purposes of trade-in value, to indicate that my truck is a diesel. I happen to know a truck such as mine is worth more than what your website quoted. I don't know how much, however. So why don't you have a category for diesel trucks??? There are a lot of them out there; and the mileage on mine is not overly high considering it is a 3/4 ton diesel truck!

Does not show duramax engines option for 2001 Chevy 2500 HD Duramax crew cab 6.5 ft bed. It shows "diesel" not 6.6 turbo.
Big easy to work on it tells me when something is wrong.
Door/tailgate Handles / hardware suck also interior plastic buttons ; windows stick
Thee best truck I have ever owned and the first vehicle I committed becoming a mechanic with. It's like a giant TONKA truck you can pull 13000 pounds with, 4x4 through mud & snow, pull up to any job site and run with all the $100,000 2025 trucks. I'm just about 300,00 miles. I replace parts as they start to fail but it's relatively cheap and easy to work on and love it!
great all around work truck
gas mileage 10 to 14 mpg
it's been a great work truck kind of attached to it, bought it new in 2002 sticker was $23,500 but it was no thrills roll up windows, but it had the 6-liter v8 naturally aspirated engine to me at the time it felt like a lot of truck for not a lot of money, hard to say that these days,

I bought this truck new in the summer of 06. I now have 336,000 miles on it and it’s still running great. I get about 15 mpg for the life of the truck. I’m happy with the reliability, the power, the ease of use. I often tow an 8500 lb trailer from sea level up to over 6,600 feet elevation and it doesn’t even notice the weight. I just set the cruise control and steer. It also rides great with a 2,500 lb load in the bed. No body rust. I had it body worked and painted 2 years ago. The only way that it is showing it’s age is by the engine getting louder. When it was new it was so quiet that nobody thought it was a diesel. I like it enough that I added an 2007 and 2015 3500. Durimax to my fleet.

This truck has been awsome and reliable and held up great for almost 23 years. If I hadbthebopportunity to buy it again or one like it would and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beast of a truck that could get the job done.
Runs smooth.
Get truck for daily drive or towing and even off-road. This is one of the best trucks that Chevy has ever made.
