Positive Review
So far the truck is great, 11,000 miles in 4 months. Have previously owned a Chevrolet truck, this one is a substantial upgrade. That being said, I was able to walk out of the dealership happy, and still get a very well equipped truck. Everything is absolutely great on the interior, with the exception of the postage stamp size floor mats that come with the truck. WeatherTech floor mats are definitely a good investment to protect the interior. To date, everything else is fantastic.
Critical Review
I have owned Chevy and/or GMC all my life and these are the most UNCOMFORTABLE seats I have ever sat in! If I could take the seats from our 2007 and put them in this 2014 I would be happy. Truck only has 17,000 miles on it, and no one in my family even wants to drive it :( My husband chooses to drive the 2004 over this :( Have found many other customers that are experiencing the same issues, but Chevy does not seem to have any resolutions at this time :( Plan to get rid of this truck, solely due to the lack of comfort :(

Comfortable, stylish, plenty of options
It had smaller wheels on it than it had when new.
I bought this a few weeks ago for my son (he is paying for it) and he loves it. He hasn't had any issues except the temperature sensor for the transmission. Easy fix.
I own a 2016 chevy Silverado 4x4 extra cab.at a 100k miles transmission went out.reported a few times of slamming into low gears on low speeds.was told it was normal. also was told transmission were junk and problems.other than that been ok truck
Power, features for towing
Automatic transmission shifts rough at times
Owned my 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 WT for 5 years now. Been very reliable and has great power with the 5.3L Ecotec.I haul around 1800 lbs in the bed regularly with no issues and good acceleration. My only complaint is the transmission shifts very hard and erratic at times both cold and hot. It has shifted like that since I bought it used. The previous owner sold it to be because of this at a great deal. Other than that I love it and it was a great purchase.
Confortable and specious
Bad motor design
I own a 2014 White Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT V8. While the truck performs well overall, it does have some notable issues. First, the paint quality is subpar—I’ve noticed peeling, especially near the rear windows of the crew cab and along the edges of the roof. While this isn’t a major issue, as it can be fixed with a quick spot repair or a vinyl cover, it’s still disappointing for a vehicle of this caliber. The bigger problems began around 145,000 miles when the DOD lifters collapsed. This is a known design flaw from GM, and it cost me about $2,700 to replace just the lifters on the left side of the motor. Then, at around 157,000 miles, the 6-speed automatic transmission failed and had to be replaced. This repair was expensive, costing me about $4,500. The transmission’s built-in computer adds complexity and significantly drives up repair costs. Overall, these trucks just aren’t built like they used to be. Older V8 models could reliably hit 300,000 miles without major repairs, but this model’s design compromises reliability with additional environmental features. It’s disappointing to see these kinds of issues in what should have been a dependable, long-lasting truck.
low maintenance durable truck
tow haul is hard on transmission
ive had all models but ive had my 2018 since new and after putting 200,000 miles on it i would not trade it for any other model truck, my only repair was a rebuilt 6 speed trans at 100,000 miles. other then that its only been tires and brake shoes. awesome truck, way to go chevy.
Great gas mileage
Uncomfortable seats
Rides well Great gas mileage for a truck Pulls my trailers easily Absolutely hate the seats! Good value
none
almost everything
Bought used and already had to dump 15k on it and still more.. it's a lost cause. transmission went, no good undercoating to protect against rust as the floorboard almost rusted through. the same make, year and model has mixed matched parts making repairs a headache also seems to be issues with linking my phone to the vehicle way too often. things that I had to fix in 2022 - rebuild engine "mechanic fault mostly" - new transmission -new shocks and struts -wheel bearing -water pump - AC I never had to spend this much time and money on a vehicle in my life and is the newest vehicle I have ever bought... seems like newer the vehicle the more problems it has... I had a vehicle 21 years old with 350k miles and never had these issues.
Nice clean one owner! Black Silverado This truck runs and drives great! Good tires! Never wrecked or damaged in any way!
