Best thing I've owned

This truck is awesome. Hauls all of my stuff and gets 20-25mpg doing it. Super fun to drive and looks better the more I look at it.

Good truck for it's price, but mine breaks often
Pros

Cheap, incredibly useful, powerful for its size

Cons

After a certain age, everything breaks at once.

I've had my 1993 S10 for 4 years so far (2016-2020) I bought it used for $1500. It ran with no issues for the first three years, but in the last year I have had to fix/replace: Engine Mounts, Tire Bushings, Ignition Coil, (4!!!) starters, a seized AC compressor, water pump, power steering pump, leaky exhaust manifold, and that's just what I remember off the top of my head. It has other age-related issues, but those would be common with any car of a comparable age. In my experience, it's been a good car, and has a lot of utility being a small pickup truck. It's easy to move furniture but also good enough on gas to be my daily driver in-town. The downside is (in my experience) once it starts showing its age by breaking down, everything falls apart at once.

Best Investment
Pros

excellent runner

Cons

no cruise control

When I bought my 1992 S10 new it had 11 miles on it. This truck has survived 24 Minnesota winters and has never let me down. Both my children learned how to drive a stick thanks to this truck. It has been a great truck for us. I hope that in the future GM brings back this vehicle.

Bought it back in '92

Have had this truck since I rolled it off the lot in 1992. Has been in 3 collisions, all with very little damage to my truck, but not so much for the other vehicles. This little truck is very strong and reliable. Low mileage due to short commute.

A great member of the family
Pros

great gas mileage, lots of power

Cons

a little small in the cab, no frills

23 years ago I bought this S-10 brand new. It has been a great member of our family. It has started everyday here in Minnesota and has been a great runner. It as expected has started to show its age. It has been used to teach my children how to drive a manual transmission. I still drive it everyday as I continue to drive it to and from work. Can't go wrong with this truck.

Great running truck, new ac charge.new inspection~
Pros

runs great! Automatic-super pull- 2 and 4WD

Cons

headliner sagging. paint sealer peeling, some rust

Consolidating vehicles to 1. Would make a great 'hunting' truck. Needs paint, headliner is sagging..but otherwise runs great..good radio, CB installed, and an OLD Mobile Phone set. .excellent heater/ac recently recharged.still have books for it..Extended cab.
