Positive Review
Best most reliable car I ever owned. V-6 engine has a lot of get up and go. Takes me through much snow and ice. Cant say enough good things about this car.

Has a cracked windshield but does not hinder vision. Has had minimal servicing; however, has provided reliable daily transportation for estimated seven years.
I get 30mpg if keep foot out of pedal.
Driver sits a bit low
I have had my 2004 Malibu since 2010. The only things I have had to replace are the battery, the coil, and my tires. In the 13yrs I have had it, it has always gotten me wherever I needed to go and home again. I will keep it forever.
12 years going, I have a Malibu Maxx V6 3.5 L and thought it ugly when I bought it used at 60k miles. Now has 212000 and counting. Strong engine and transmission. Always change oil at 3000-3500 miles. Don't mess with transmission fluid. I put in an ounce or less of transmission fluid as needed but it's rare. Mine leaks engine oil a little likely needs oil pan gasket. Read the manual to maintain it and you'll be fine. Very low cost to run probably $300 per year on average. Years go by before it needs something but it's all typical maintenance (alignment, brakes, etc). I've gotten 34mpg on highway, 27 around town. I drive it hard sometimes. Impressive MPG for a V6 which is the same as my Camry 2.2L 4 cylinder. Except for the usual consumables (oil, brakes, rotors, tires) this has been a really reliable car, the best I've owned so far. I've owned Toyotas (Corolla and Camry), 1986 BMW 635csi, Honda Passport, 2001 Suburban, 240GL Volvo and other cars/trucks. This Malibu has been really cheap and fun to drive, good performance, easy to work on. Good safety features and options. The bad is the interior wears out, radio buttons fade, leather seats get dirty quick.

High speed head on collision on wet mountain roads! I walked away without a scratch, thank you Malibu. Before it was totaled by a Jeep crossing the double yellow, this car was very reliable and fuel efficient.
Great to drive.
Interior
This vehicle has been amazing. I have driven it for 18 years and just in the last few months had to have repairs. I really can't say anything bad about the performance of this 2004 Malibu.
It has a new transmission, alternator, and battery
The only problem is that I had to get a new transm
I really do like this car. It drives since the seats are comfortable and it’s has a lot of space for being a small car and it’s good on gas.
Nothing wrong. Never a problem. Have all receipts. Got oil changes every year. May end up keeping...
Very comfortable road car at highway speeds.
Car is fully loaded. 54000 actual mileage. Perfect interior. Recent diagnostic test showed no faults. Constantly maintained. No dents or dings. Always garaged. Used only for highway trips. Runs very strong. Premium 6 speaker stereo. Power everything. Tilt telescoping wheel. Adjustable brake and throttle settings. Extremely low miles for its age. Remote locking and alarmed.
