Positive Review
I want to preface this by saying that I am a BMW owner and I was looking for my next car to replace my BMW. So naturally, one of my options was to go with another BMW and really weighed my options based on price, MPG, technology, performance and handling. After A LOT of research, I became a proud owner of a 2013 Malibu. I feel that I made the right choice based on these facts: 1) I saved about $12K 2) I got a car that provides great handling (believe me I tested it around traffic circles and compared it to how I felt with my BMW) 3) I love the fact that I get about 10 MPG more on the highway 4) having a hubby that knows a lot about cars and engines, his research and understanding made me confident that this car will be very reliable! Now for you BMW owners out there, you're probably thinking but what about the performance so I have to be honest and say that it does not EXACTLY have the same pick up and go but pretty darn close. I am a rather agressive driver so one of my criteria was to not feel like I could not get going like I wanted to and the Malibu does pretty darn well! Okay now for some real PLUSES! I love the ride, it's so smooth and so comfortable. Living in Colorado, I have the luxury of taking long drives in the mountains and did that was very impressed. I got the leather interior, it's beautiful and it's classy! At night, the dash has blue back lighting that is just so cool! Great sound system and supports bluetooth technology which made it a breeze to sync my phone with the car. I love just telling my car to make a call without me having to look at my phone! So again, for the value, I feel that I got a GREAT, GREAT car!!!
Critical Review
It's a very disappointing car. The Eco may not be called a hybrid, but that's really what it is...and it's really expensive. It's very sad that I paid more for the ECO system but my mileage isn't any better than my 4 cylinder Accord sedan. Other complaints are with its very small interior. Reliability is so far, so not so good. Two times the car wouldn't start on me because of computer issues. It was towed back the dealer just last Tuesday.

Durable, low cost of operation, nearly repair free
Steering wheel covering deteriorates, no spare
I have a 2014 with 382,000+ miles on it. Other than wheel bearings only other maintenance or repairs have been by the service book. Great car. Chevy made a big mistake in ending its production.
I absolutely love love love this car. I’ve only had it for four years, but I’ve put a lot of miles on it already because I’ve taken like six road trips and it has never let me down besides maintenance…. I’m coming on here to check out the value because unfortunately mine was totaled and I’m very upset about it. I know it’s just materialistic, but I had a lot of great memories with her.
Cars great has 165k miles and runs good. Take care of it and it’ll take care of you. I love this car
Purchased new and now has 147000 miles. Reliable with minimal repairs. Looks good and still stylish.
Gas mileage
Engine
Shoppers should expect to spend more money than expected on this trash with wheels. We’ve had our dumpster fire for far to long and had to replace an engine, and your common everyday chevy electrical problems. It loses power when your driving and the wheel hubs are bad. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy “American” made.
Needs some body work runs great used for to and from work or to and from drs never drove far inside of car is in good shape may find some hidden husky flakes here and there
All good

This car is geared right for quick take off speeds and great gas mileage. It's an Eco, which is the best of both worlds. I've had mine for 7 years now and I could not be happier. Not one single issue with it. Everything works, it's quiet with no little irritating rattles. Lots of trunk space and I put my 55 inch new TV in the trunk with the seats down and didn't have to get out my truck to haul it! The motor has a clean bill of health from the dealership and I expect many more good miles from this car.
I bought my 2013 LTZ used in 2018 with 36k miles and now have 115kk miles. I have kept it running well by keeping up with oil changes and regular service maintenance, without too many issues. It’s quick and nimble for a full size sedan and I have throughly enjoyed driving these past five years. Great in snow and rain with my Continental tires which have 80k mikes on them. I wish I could find another with low mileage to start the process all over again.
