Positive Review

"312K miles orig.engine tranny,shes true blue"

we bought this car in 2004, second owner, was not to keen on Chevy's, but I liked the sleek style and the round brake lights..when we bought it the miles were 53,000 now I have 312,000, this car has surprised the heck out of my husband and I, considering he takes her for her 6 thousand mile oil change and rotation of tires...oh yeah, we never changed her spark plugs since we had her. the ride is like a cadallic, she puts on 168 miles a day bringing me to work and back, she is my true besse,I have complete faith every time I turned the key, she starts right up..I have trust in this car and feel the safty and comfortable ride..not garaged. we don't have one..would I buy another.....what do you think??

Critical Review

"She can be expensive to maintain, but rides nice"

She is 14 years OLD (2002) with only 75,000 miles. Seems to require above average repairs. Maybe, even lots of repairs for only 75,000 miles. ABS light, BCM (control module), side air bag, radiator, sensors, MAF, tire sensor, sway bar, links, cheap plastic coolant elbows, various electrical gremlins, RECALLS oil leak, ignition switch of death, catalytic converter... I do not know where to stop. HOWEVER, IF YOU DO NOT MIND DROPPING $$$400-$$$1,100 EVERY SO OFTEN, THEN THIS IS A GREAT CAR...HANDLES GREAT FOR A BIG CAR, IT IS A BIG CAR, ENORMOUS TRUNK, THE 3.8 LITER LS VERSION IS REALLY FUN. I LOVE HER BUT but but, I CAN NOT AFFORD TO KEEP HER. It was a nice fling, but an expensive lesson to learn.

Love my Impala
Pros

Comfortable and reliable

Cons

Hard to get started at times

I have had this car for 17 years and she is still going strong. Very comfortable front bench seat huge trunk, great gas mileage and very minimal repairs. Sometimes she doesn’t like starting when it’s hot out but usually pumping the gas pedal helps when she’s being stubborn. My baby will be with me until she dies!
