Positive Review
I had a 2003 Chevy Impala LS 3.8 V6 4 speed auto I like it gave me no trouble put 115,000 miles and traded for a 2007 Chevy Impala LT 2 with a 3.9 V6 4 speed auto which I liked Just as much and traded with 110,000 miles on it. I now I have a 2014 Chevy Impala with the 3.6 and 6 Speed auto. I enjoyed all 3 of my Impalas thus far. I have several friends who drive them and like them as well because I brag about them so much.
Critical Review
We were looking for a good used car for my daughter's first car. We found a 2008 Chevy Impala that was in excellent condition as far as appearance goes. Very pretty car. The issues began within a week of taking the car home. My daughter reported that the car shudders when braking as if it is going over the rumble strips on the side of the interstate (but it's not). She also has had problems getting it to shift out of Park when she is parked on a hill. Just this morning she lost power steering and braking as she was backing out of our driveway. Complaints on online forums report that all of these problems are common to this vehicle.

Reliable, comfortable, and very trustworthy

This car is extremely reliable as well as spacious, never broken down on me, and with regular maintenance car can last 300k miles easy.
She has a couple quirks for sure but overall she’s a safe, reliable car that’s gotten my kids to school, me to work, and has taken us on small trips out of town.
good on gas on long trips.got 30 mpg or more.
none
this car has hardly cost me anything to maintain in 19 years.brakes at 60000.left rear shock and spring just recently.one small sensor at 70000.the other usual tires oil etc.great purchase.
Transmission went out at very low miles, not a very dependable vehicle. The 3.5 engine is very problematic, not worth the money people are asking for these.
Drives like new.
Steering is very sensitive, which I like.
I bought a new 2007 Chevrolet Impala and I am the one owner of this car. Incredible car! Never been in the shop! Only things I have done is change oil regularly, tires, and battery. So this car is a great car at 17 years old!
Fast
No belt tensioner available
2008 Impala SS. The bell tensioner is not available anymore anywhere. If it breaks or fails car cannot be fixed. I searched for weeks, not even used part available.
