Positive Review
I have the Equinox 1LT, sticker price 29,745 (approx). I am extremely happy with the driving of this vehicle, much better than expert reviews detail. MPG for my 1.5 front wheel drive is 31.7 over approx 3200 miles. Very satisfied with this. Plenty of power for me, I am not a speed demon and want good MPG vs Power. Excellent set up with the 2018 Equinox w/ 1.5 liter. Interior is very nice, drives great. I-phone connection works great. Could be a better GPS set up. Recommend this vehicle for anyone looking for moderate priced, good looking, great driving, well built driving machine. My best to you.
Critical Review
I owned a 2016, equinox and it was under a lease, i should have kept it, i loved that vehicle, but I went and gave it back and purchased a 2019, well it was the worst mistake of my life, I hate this new one, it doesn't have it own design, it looks like all the other smaller SUV's from other Manufacturers, but to keep it short, the only things I like about this vehicle is the All Wheel Drive, gas mileage, BlueTooth

Gas mileage. Feature Packed
Smaller than a full size SUV.
Great vehicle with decent gas milage and lots of features. Found one with low miles and packed full of features.
This car has nothing wrong with it interior and exterior. And it has 100,000 mile tires, I have the paperwork for the tires and some maintenance paperwork. Also it has a panoramic roof.
Horribly dissatisfied with my 2019 equinox LT 1.5 Ltr Engine. How could they put a 4 cylinder engine from a Sedan in a large SUV? I get the gas economy but too weak of an engine and I don’t notice where the turbo part comes in. I should’ve known. I know the reviews out there confirm this was a waste of a model and ruined the Equinox generation but when I test drove car in dealer I didn’t get to feel how weak the engine was until I bought it and experienced the Erving to almost 4 RPM from local 25 mph residential areas. The 2.0 Ltr engine is I guess the only option Chevy should’ve stuck with. They’ll never be a Honda or Toyota from cutting corners. And making such a weak cheap car isn’t going to help. I’ve never driven a weaker suv in my life. It’s almost like out of everything going on in the world, all we need is another annoying cheap product in life that costs thousands of dollars and no updates or fixes. The gas mileage isn’t worth the lack of power and inability to put groceries or 2 more average weight ppl in my car and have my engine roar and lag. Let alone if I wanted to put a hitch to tow anything. What a waste of materials
Mpg, comfort, size, style, safety features.
Not great with get up and go
I bought my 2023 two years ago. I bought it new. I like all the safety features, back up cameras are great. I like that I don't have to search my pockets or purse to find my keys, just push the button on the handle, as long as you have your keys on you. It handles well in rain and or snow, mine is not all wheel drive but does fine in my area midwest (St.louis Mo.) It's very roomy and comfortable. It gets good gas mileage (30-33)per gal. I also love the easy in and out, it's nice to be able to just step out or in unlike some other models.
Runs great long distance and is actually pretty good on gas consumption. You can get appr 35 miles to the gallon if you drive sensibly in town and keep your maintenance up on it, about 30 miles/gl on the hwy. However after owning it for 4 years, everything on it is needing serviced , tire sonsors aren't working, brake assist needs serviced, park brake needs serviced and the electronics in the car are atarting to act up, to where the phone, when run through mychevroletlink, does connect a call, but you can't get off your screen. Sometimes the phones doesn't connect to the car at all, and at times nothing on the screen works. If you live in a drier more dusty area , it will definetely mess with your electronics after wa while. Otherwise this car has done very well. It handles well in all weather, is pretty quiet and has great features.
We brought this car used. It had 26,000 miles on it when purchased in late August. Our son and his wife saw it and told my wife and I about it. They drove it and sent us pictures and video of it. We liked the car and price and we brought it. Our daughter and I went out and got it by the time I got it home it had another 1,400 miles on it. I really like it, I knew that before I got it home. It a great SUV smaller than the van we had. Kinda miss the space of the van. But really like the gas mileage. Van 15 in city SUV 20 to 25 city. It has a lot of options that I couldn't have done without but when you are buying used you don't have a lot of choices. Overall a very good vehicle
Great MPG. Great value.
Little underpowered. Front seats a bit small for larger people.
Had our Equinox for about 3 years as a lease. It's been a great vehicle. The gas mileage has been great - I recently did a 100 mile trip and pulled off 40 MPG on the expressway doing about 65 mph. The gas mileage is alot better than what its rated for. It's quite spacious for its size. I've had no mechanical issues other than the start stop rarely kicks in. ( some may say that's a plus) My only complaints are that road noise is a bit on the loud side (higher quality tires than stock tires may help) and the engine is a bit underpowered with the 1.5 liter turbo.
My 2018 Chevy Equinox has been an amazing vehicle! From the HUGE sunroof to the heated steering wheel and seats for the price - you can't beat it. With over 100k miles it's still in great shape and will still be the vehicle I'm driving for years to come. Oh, and the stop/start technology is a lifesaver in the big city. Hwy I'm averaging 34+MPG and city 22-25MPG.
