For 2025, the Chevrolet Silverado EV is available as the LT and RST. Regardless of trim level, there is plenty of power to move this substantial truck. Most shoppers will get a 645-hp setup, which is what powers the LT and the 2SP RST. This system has plenty of horsepower and torque, but for those who want even quicker acceleration, there’s a 760-hp option that allows the truck to accelerate from 0-to-60 mph in about 4.5 seconds.
The Silverado EV’s ride is comfortable, but there is still no question you’re driving a truck. Look for an RST trim level to get niceties like adaptive air suspension and adaptive ride control with continuous damping, which make the ride even nicer, and active rear steering. That last feature makes it easy to maneuver a truck this size through smaller parking lots and in crowded urban areas. Another plus of adaptive air suspension: you can lower it to make it easier for people to get into or out of the truck. It also makes it easier to load and unload cargo.
What’s interesting about driving the Silverado EV is that the interior looks much like what you would expect a truck interior to look like, with comfortable seats and displays where you would want them to be. But that silence when you accelerate takes a bit of a mindset change to adapt to. The truck looks and feels like a Silverado, but all you hear is wind and tire noise. And its acceleration is smooth and quick, in a more linear way than with a combustion engine. That quiet, spacious cabin and comfortable seats make driving the Silverado EV feel serene. Braking feels confident and brake response becomes more noticeable when you select the higher regen braking setting.
<h3>Range and Charging</h3>
The 2025 Silverado EV electric truck has an impressive maximum range of 460 miles in the RST Max Range. Both the RST Extended Range and the LT with the Premium Package have 390 miles of range. That is best in class: the Ford F-150 Lightning with an Extended Range battery has a range of 320 miles, the Tesla Cybertruck’s maximum is 320 miles, and the Rivian R1T is rated at 420 miles.
Using an 800-volt DC fast charger, 100 miles of range can be added in just 10 minutes. This rate compares well to that of Tesla Cybertruck and the Rivian R1T.

Business in Front, Party in the Rear

Exterior

For those of us who fondly recall the Chevy Avalanche’s flying buttress design and innovative Midgate, the Silverado EV is a welcome reimagining of that idea. The Silverado EV shares some styling similarities with its gas Silverado sibling, but the Midgate functionality is unique to the EV. It takes the 5’11” bed and makes it capable of carrying cargo that’s nearly 11 feet long.
Up front, the “frunk” can carry 10.7 cubic feet of luggage, and also includes a 120-volt outlet. The body has LED lighting and a choice of 18-, 22-, or 24-inch wheels and tires. A fixed full glass roof and folding tonneau cover are also available.

The Multi-Flex tailgate has six different positions and functions that make it easier to carry cargo and get work done. An available utility wall package includes latches and straps for small storage. You can also power tools with outlets in the truck bed.
Multi-Flex Midgate 
This available feature, a throwback to the Chevy Avalanche, is a folding divider between the rear passengers and the bed. When folded down, it allows space for cargo that’s over 10 feet long. With narrow enough cargo, a passenger could still sit in the second row.

Functional, Modern Interior

While there are interior differences based on trim, the 2025 Silverado EV is a 5-passenger crew cab with a mostly black interior. The LT has black Evotex seats with white stitchwork on the dash and seats. The RST trim has a black interior with red accents on the vents, plus red and blue stitchwork along the Evotex seats and the center console cover that serves as the armrest for the driver and front passenger. You can also get cool gray contrasting seat bolsters. The dash is dominated by a 14-inch reconfigurable digital gauge cluster and a 17.7-inch screen that controls navigation, Google built-in, trailering apps, and more. The shifter is a small toggle on the steering wheel column.

The 2025 Silverado EV is based on the Ultium platform, which also underpins several of GM’s full-size trucks and SUVs. The Silverado EV uses one motor in front and one in the rear. Depending on trim level, this truck has 645 hp and 765 lb-ft (LT) or 645-760 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque (RST).

The 2025 Silverado EV has a maximum towing capacity of 12,500 pounds in the LT trim, and can carry up to 1,800 pounds of payload. The RST can tow up to 10,000 pounds with a 1,400-lb payload capacity. The Ford F-150 Lightning can tow up to 10,000 pounds; the Rivian R1T and Tesla Cybertruck are good for up to 11,000 pounds.

The Silverado EV line has been shuffled a bit for 2025. This year, trim levels are the LT Extended Range, RST Extended Range, and RST Max Range. There is also a Work Truck (WT) available with three different ranges, but the WT is primarily a fleet option. For 2025, there are five additional colors to choose from. Slate Gray Metallic, Riptide Blue Metallic, Habanero Orange, Blue Smoke Metallic, and Zephyr Blue Matte Metallic join Black and Summit White.

With a single electric motor, the 2025 Equinox EV sends 220 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels. That’s enough power to allow for quick acceleration, taking about 8 seconds to reach 60 mph, right in line with acceleration times for the average gas-powered compact SUV. With the Equinox EV, however, there’s no raucous engine noise, transmission whine, or vibration — just quick, quiet, smooth transport. We love this about EVs in general, and think you will, too.
For those who desire quicker acceleration and better grip, the all-wheel-drive option adds a second electric motor, increases output to a potent 300 hp, and bumps torque out to 355 lb-ft. With this potent setup, the all-wheel-drive Equinox EV can do the zero-to-60 mph dash in less than 6 seconds — quite fast, for sure.
Over long stretches of highway, we found the Equinox EV’s ride to be smooth and comfortable. Due to the added weight of the large battery pack, however, the Equinox requires a more robust suspension that can be less forgiving when encountering rough or pothole-strewn pavement. But not so much that it rattled anyone’s teeth. We think the Equinox RS and 3LT’s big 21-inch wheel and tire combo also contributes to the SUV&#8217;s firm ride. Opting for the entry-level 1LT or 2LT brings smaller wheels with taller tires, a combination that usually returns a softer ride.
The Equinox EV’s low center of gravity, heavy battery pack, and wide platform all contribute to a feeling of stability. We found the steering feel to be light with communicative feedback.
One-pedal driving is unique to EVs, and Equinox’s system works seamlessly. Getting used to trusting the system takes some time, but if you feel deceleration isn’t happening fast enough, you can increase brake force pressure via a steering wheel-mounted paddle. And, of course, there’s always the traditional brake pedal.
<h3>Range and Charging</h3>
The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV has a maximum range of 319 miles for front-wheel-drive models. All-wheel-drive variants can go for up to 307 miles. These ranges are impressive and highly competitive among electric SUVs, especially considering the Equinox EV’s lower price point.
For comparison, the Ford Mustang Mach-E will do 320 miles, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 up to 318 miles, and the Nissan Ariya up to 304 miles. The pricier Tesla Model Y, however, is good for up to 337 miles, according to EPA estimates.
Using a DC fast charger, the Equinox EV can take on 77 miles of range in 10 minutes and charge up to 150 kW. That lags rivals such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, but should still be serviceable for most drivers. A Level 2 home charger supplies the Equinox EV with up to 34 miles of range every hour, or about 9 hours to reach a full charge. The Equinox EV offers a NACS (North American Charging Standard) adaptor for use at Tesla Supercharger stations.

Attractive Exterior

LED technology has allowed car designers to use thinner and thinner headlights. The ones on the new Equinox EV have merely become each end of an across-the-nose strip. We think this gives the front a certain attitude that makes the SUV profile and tail a little more interesting. LT models offer the option of a contrasting white roof, the RS versions can be ordered with a black roof.
Although there’s also a Chevy Equinox SUV with a combustion engine, it’s not built on the same platform as this Equinox EV. The Equinox EV is about 7 inches longer and 3 inches wider than its gasoline-powered namesake.
Overall, we think the Equinox EV has sleek, stylish looks that will attract a lot of buyers.

Our Favorite Features And Tech

Infotainment system 
This Google-based system includes a massive 17.7-inch touchscreen as standard, which dwarfs some luxury brand screen sizes.
Super Cruise 
This is one of the best (of only a few, admittedly) hands-free partial self-driving systems we’ve come across. It works on more than 400,000 miles of North American roads preprogrammed into the navigation system. It’s optional beginning in the 2LT trim.
Safety Alert Seat 
We all use our eyes and ears to perceive possible hazards, but Chevrolet’s standard Safety Alert Seat recruits the driver’s nether regions by vibrating the lower cushion whenever the vehicle’s sensors pick up on impending peril.
One-pedal driving 
Many electric vehicles have this feature, where speeding up or slowing to a complete stop can be accomplished by varying the pressure on the accelerator pedal. It’s achieved by setting brake energy regeneration levels to maximum. Negotiating city traffic becomes less tiring — only urgent stops necessitate stepping on the brake pedal. It’s another standard feature in the 2025 Equinox EV.
Hands-free tailgate operation 
It is not at the cutting edge of electric vehicle tech, but it is wonderfully convenient, nevertheless. This is standard at the 2LT level.
Rear camera mirror 
It looks like a regular rearview mirror, but this option can also show the feed from a wide-angle camera, so drivers can see what’s behind without the clutter of cargo, passengers, or bodywork. It’s available beginning on the LT 2 trim.

Contemporary Interior

Chevrolet describes the interior of the Equinox EV as “streamlined.” We’d call it neatly contemporary. The most impressive feature is the massive 17.7-inch touchscreen, the same one found in the big Chevy Silverado EV electric truck. The screen graphics are clear and easy to decipher, and the menus are simple without too many layers. We also love how quickly the touchscreen responds when prompted. Accompanying the infotainment system is Google built-in, which handles all your navigation, texting, apps, and voice control needs. Oddly, GM locks out Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for EVs with this system, a decision that doesn’t apply to its gas-fueled models. We do applaud GM for retaining a redundant set of hard buttons and knobs for the climate controls.
Come nighttime, we were pleasantly surprised by GM’s clever use of light as a design element, most notably in the multi-colored ambient panels above the glovebox and behind the door panels.
We found much to like inside the Equinox EV’s roomy cabin. There’s 38 inches of legroom for the rear seat, which is comparable to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 but not quite as generous as in the Tesla Model Y. With the rear seats folded down, there’s a maximum of 57 cubic feet of cargo volume, on par with the Ioniq 5, but way short of the Model Y’s 72 cubic feet.

Introduced just last year, the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/chevrolet/equinox-ev/">Chevrolet Equinox EV</a> is among the freshest choices in the growing field of electric SUVs. It’s also among the most attractive, literally and figuratively, thanks to its sleek design and a starting price that undercuts rivals.
More alluring still is its range of up to 319 miles. Combined with the Equinox EV’s impressive suite of technology and safety systems, this electric <a href="https://www.kbb.com/chevrolet/">Chevy</a> makes a compelling competitor to models like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Tesla Model Y, and Nissan Ariya.

Battery And Efficiency

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV uses an 85 kWh battery pack. It returns up to 109 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) for front-wheel-drive models and 103 MPGe for those with all-wheel drive. Those are similar to others in this class. The higher the MPGe rating, the more efficiently the motors use electricity.
3-Year/36,000-Mile Warranty
Chevrolet’s new-vehicle warranty lasts three years or 36,000 miles, whichever happens first. This is typical among mainstream manufacturers, although Hyundai and Kia offer better terms. The battery is covered for eight years or 100,000 miles. Chevrolet includes five years or 60,000 miles of roadside assistance, plus a free first service within one year or 12,000 miles.
Safety
Standard safety features in the new Equinox EV include forward collision with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, plus lane-keeping assistance and Blind Zone Steering Assist.

The all-electric 2025 Audi RS e-tron GT Performance is the company’s fastest production car, phenomenally powerful and pretty darn handsome. Maximum range is 278 miles.

Power, Ride and Handling

The new RS e-tron GT Performance buzzes with an incredible 912 horsepower (last year’s maximum was a still-awesome 637 hp), zipping from zero to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds with launch control. This statistic makes the RS e-tron GT Performance the fastest-accelerating production Audi yet.
Sure, the Tesla Model S Plaid is claiming 1.99 seconds, the Lucid Air Sapphire claims 1.89 seconds, and the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT (which isn’t turbocharged) posts 2.2 seconds. But those rivals break the 1,000-hp barrier. Anyway, during this kind of acceleration, as our human senses try to catch up with our mega-powered electric cars, a few tenths here and there are more academic than anything else.
A new push-to-pass function at speeds above 19 mph gives a 94-hp boost for up to 10 seconds (for that total of 912 hp), and Dynamic drive mode is selected automatically. After 10 seconds of recuperation, this function is ready to go again.
On the subject of modes, the RS e-tron GT Performance gains a new RS Performance setting calibrated especially for twisting roads and challenging tracks, optimizing power delivery and suspension. The car also has driver-configurable RS1 and RS2 modes. Rear-wheel steering is standard, enhancing agility and maneuverability.
<a href="https://www.kbb.com/reviews/2025-audi-rs-e-tron-gt-performance-first-drive/">We’ve driven the new RS e-tron GT Performance </a>on the road and the track. Trackside, we discovered that Audi’s official claim of 2.4 seconds to 60 mph is conservative. We’d say 2.1 or 2.2 is well within the realms of possibility. The car also keeps its composure through fast corners. On regular roads, we found the RS e-tron GT Performance has a civilized side. Select Comfort mode, and this car can easily make good on its grand touring promise. Just keep an eye on the speedometer, because this near-silent rocket takes hardly any time to reach (and exceed) speed limits.
Range and Charging
The 2025 RS e-tron GT Performance has a maximum range of 278 miles. For reference, the EPA rated last year’s RS e-tron GT at 249 miles.
Using a DC fast charger, quicker battery replenishment is also possible, going from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. Last year’s 21.5 minutes was hardly the slowest in the class, but we’re always pleased to get back on the road as soon as possible. Incidentally, the RS e-tron GT Performance is built at a carbon-neutral facility.

Stunning Exterior

We might as well come straight out and say we like the looks of the RS e-tron GT Performance. A lot. This Audi is a low-slung, sleek sedan that looks ready to slice through the air with a flex of the right foot. In our opinion, the company’s design approach works so well here. The differences between this and the somewhat dialed-down S e-tron GT center on details like the air intakes.
A roof of forged carbon (as opposed to the more common woven carbon fiber) is available exclusively with the RS e-tron GT Performance. When selecting this optional package, forged carbon is also deployed on the bumpers, side sills, side mirrors, and rear diffuser. Special dark-finished RS-design 21-inch alloy wheels are included as well.
Arkona White is the only no-cost color &#8212; the rest go for $595. That’s unlikely to be a big deal for someone spending nearly $170,000 on their new RS e-tron GT Performance. Sizewise, the RS e-tron GT Performance is similar to its Porsche Taycan cousin.

Dual charging ports 
There’s one on each side, making life a little more convenient.
HD Matrix-design LED headlights with Laserlight 
These are standard, providing excellent illumination with a white/blue light yet adapting automatically to prevent other drivers from being dazzled.
Front seats 
As well as being exemplary sport seats with plenty of support and hours-long comfort, they also come with standard heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
Head-up display 
Vital information projected onto the windshield within the driver’s line of sight is a cool piece of tech, and it’s standard here.
Bang &amp; Olufsen audio 
Another standard feature, Bang &amp; Olufsen makes some of the clearest and most detailed high-end sound systems.
Dynamic Plus package 
This options bundle includes an active suspension with electro-hydraulic dampers and ceramic brakes. We’ve experienced similar suspensions in several vehicles, and they’re incredibly effective.

Elegant Interior

All the usual Audi hallmarks are here, such as high-class materials (fine Nappa leather upholstery is standard), elegant designs, and exemplary build quality. Many sporty cars have flat-bottomed steering wheels &#8212; there’s one here with a flattened top as well. Paying homage to the 1994 Audi Avant RS 2 (a collaboration with Porsche), the 12.3-inch digital driver information display has a white speedometer and power meter.
We’d call the RS e-tron GT Performance a 4-seater, because few people will want to sit in that little center spot in the back. And with rear legroom measuring just 32.2 inches, while the sleek roof impacts rear headroom, this is not the most accommodating luxury sedan. That’s not the point of this car, however.

There’s a hierarchy to Audi vehicles, and RS &#8212; like this 2025 RS e-tron GT Performance &#8212; is at the top. Actually, the Performance part pushes this sleek 4-door machine beyond anything else in the <a href=":censored:19:4fe1c87dd2:/audi/">Audi</a> garage. With an awesome 912 horsepower and the ability to accelerate to 60 mph in only 2.4 seconds, the RS e-tron GT Performance is a remarkable machine. It&#8217;s the most powerful and fastest-accelerating production car the company has ever created. It’s made all the more desirable by its polished Audi designs inside and out.
Based on the same platform as the Porsche Taycan, the original e-tron GT electric sports sedan debuted for the 2022 model year. Audi keeps improving it, so there are two extremely powerful variants this year.

Superfast rivals are rare. The <a href=":censored:19:4fe1c87dd2:/porsche/taycan/">Porsche Taycan</a> Turbo S and <a href=":censored:19:4fe1c87dd2:/lucid/air/">Lucid Air</a> Sapphire cost over $200,000. Although less luxurious, the <a href=":censored:19:4fe1c87dd2:/tesla/model-s/">Tesla Model S</a> Plaid comes in at a little under $100,000.
Before buying a new RS e-tron GT Performance all-electric luxury sports sedan, check the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price to know how much you should be paying. In terms of resale values, the Taycan does fairly well, while the e-tron GT has performed averagely up until now. Recouping more money when selling a vehicle can mean a bigger down payment and lower monthly payments on the next one.

An upgraded battery this year with reworked thermal management results in an extra 29 miles of range, along with faster charging. Battery capacity is relatively large at 105 kilowatt-hours (kWh).
<h3> 4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
Audi’s new-car warranty lasts four years or 50,000 miles, whichever happens first. That’s par for the course among luxury European marques. The battery pack is covered for eight years or 100,000 miles.
<h3>Safety Ratings</h3>
The Audi RS e-tron GT Performance has yet to be crash-tested by any domestic agency. However, the Euro NCAP program gave the closely related Porsche Taycan a maximum 5-star overall score. Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, intersection assistance, and blind-spot monitoring.

Last year’s RS e-tron GT is upgraded to the 2025 RS e-tron GT Performance, gaining greater power, a new battery (with improved thermal management) for a longer range and faster charging time, a revised braking system for better energy recuperation, and a new air suspension. Fresh options include an active suspension and a carbon roof. The only slightly less exciting new-for-<a href=":censored:19:4fe1c87dd2:/audi/s-e-tron-gt/">2025 Audi S e-tron GT</a> (minus the R prefix and Performance suffix) is reviewed separately.

The all-new 2025 Audi S5 is a compact luxury car with an emphasis on sportiness.

Giving free rein to all 362 horses, the S5 will gallop from standstill to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, 0.2 of a second quicker than the outgoing S5 Sportback. For comparison, the BMW 440i xDrive Gran Coupe has 386 hp yet hits 60 mph a tenth after the S5, while the Mercedes-AMG C 43 brings 416 hp to the race and crosses the line at exactly the same time as the Audi.
The S5 also comes with a sport-tuned suspension as standard, while offering the option of an adaptive air suspension that has greater differences between its Comfort, Dynamic and Balanced modes than the outgoing S5 Sportback’s. Dynamic is firmer. Comfort is smoother.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
Owners of a new S5 can expect to achieve 22 mpg in combined city/highway driving. The BMW M440i xDrive tops this little table by returning 27 mpg combined, while the C 43 matches the new S5.

Smart Exterior

The clever thing about the new S5 and its regular A5 stablemate is how the 4-door hatchback body brings great practicality, yet it’s disguised by a sleek profile. Audi has given both cars a visual punch, while the S5 gains a few more aerodynamic additions compared with the A5.
The standard alloy wheel size is 19 inches, with 20-inch wheels offered as an option.

All-wheel drive 
It’s a common feature and comes as standard on the new S5. But that doesn’t mean we should take it for granted, because it provides great grip and traction.
Bang &amp; Olufsen audio 
The top version of two superb B&amp;O setups available is a surround-sound system with 810 watts going through 20 speakers, four of which are in the headrests of the front seats.
Navigation prompts 
Admittedly, we’ve all heard that disembodied voice telling us to turn right in 700 feet (or whatever). The clever thing here is that such prompts can come through the new S5’s aforementioned driver-side headrest speakers, so as not to disturb any other occupants.
Audi Advanced Key 
The S5 senses the presence of the Advanced Key, allowing drivers to open the door (or tailgate) without having to get the fob out of a pocket or purse. This might seem like a small thing, but we’ve often found little details make life easier.
Powered tailgate 
Another detail to make life easier, this is standard in every new S5.
Matrix-design LED headlights 
As well as offering a distinctive lighting signature, these standard items provide great illumination.

Multi-Faceted Interior

We’ve always been happy to sit in Audi seats, appreciating their combination of cushioning and support. In S models, those seats gain more bolstering to keep occupants in place whenever conditions conspire for a bout of spirited cornering. And you just know the new S5 will be doing plenty of that.
OLED displays form the new Digital Stage that Audi installs in its A5 and S5 cars. Driver information is provided by an 11.9-inch instrument cluster, a central 14.5-inch touchscreen handles infotainment duties, and there’s an optional extra 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger.
For those times when the S5 has to carry more than two adults, 36.1 inches of rear legroom should be enough to quell most gripes about passenger space. The outgoing S5 already had a slight edge over the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe in this respect, now there’s an extra inch.
This latest S5 also has a massive 22.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats (1.6 more than before), expanding to 37 cubic feet with those seats folded. To compare, the 4 Series Gran Coupe goes from 16.6 to 45.5 cubic feet.
