What do You Get on a Fully Loaded 2022 Subaru Legacy?

2021 Subaru Legacy in blue

The 2022 Subaru Legacy is a sensible midsize sedan that offers all-wheel drive as standard and has a reputation for great resale value and solid reliability.

For 2022 there are almost no changes to the Legacy. After all, the seventh generation debuted in 2020 so the technology is still brand new and safety is top-notch. The body got slightly stiffer with the 2020 makeover.

Even at the top of the range, a fully loaded Subaru Legacy will pencil out just above $40,000. We were able to price one out to $41,297 thanks in large part to the 65 additional accessories available. Here’s an overview of what you get at the very top trim:

  • Legacy Touring XT trim comes with a 260-horsepower 2.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine in place of the base 2.5-liter naturally aspirated flat-4. You also get Subaru’s Starlink Safety and Security, a larger, 11.6-inch infotainment screen with Subaru’s multimedia plus, and more. The Touring XT starts at $36,195 plus $960 in destination charges.
  • Other additional features include remote keyfob start ($370), auto-dimming outside mirrors with puddle/approach light ($273), a rear decklid spoiler ($381), wood trim ($322), and wireless phone charging ($292).
  • A wide variety of pet-friendly (and safe) accessories make transporting your pets a whole lot more comfortable for you. And for your animals, it’s a whole lot safer. Items include things like a Pet Harness ($79.99), padded, pet-friendly seat protector ($229.95), and pet bowls ($39.99). A pet carrier and bed for your cat ($199.99) are even available.
  • In addition to roof racks and cargo carriers, the Legacy offers some unique additional options like smoking accessories such as an ashtray holder ($12.95), ashtray ($19.95), and cigarette lighter ($39.98).

Here are the highlights of a fully-loaded 2022 Subaru Legacy:

Everything in the Base Trim, Plus

You get everything in the base trim, which includes standard all-wheel drive, standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, LED responsive headlights, and Sirius XM. The top-line Legacy Touring XT adds features such as an impressive 11.6-inch touchscreen, power driver’s seat, and dual-zone climate control that come in the Premium trim and adds features like the turbocharged engine, Nappa leather, heated/ventilated seats, Harman Kardon premium sound system, and even a CD player in the center console.

Pet Accessories and Safety Gear

Subaru offers a ton of optional pet accessories to keep your furry family members safe and comfortable. There are more than 10 different pet accessories that include a variety of harnesses, pet bowls, and bedding. You can also get seat covers, and pet bowls.

Subaru also offers a pair of emergency roadside and severe weather kits to help you get help or unstuck when you need to.

Carry Your Outdoor Adventure Gear

Subaru offers a wide variety of cargo, trailer hitch, and rooftop options to make the most of your adventure. There’s even a Thule portable step ($89.95) that attaches to your wheel to help you get up high enough to manage the cargo on the roof.
