Video: Testing The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid

Honda has an all-new CR-V for 2023, available with a 190-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and the solid value you expect of the CR-V name. But there’s also a more powerful, 204-horsepower version. It’s the most fuel-efficient model, the 2023 CR-V Hybrid.

“The Honda CR-V has been on the road for more than 20 years, and you see them everywhere,” says our Mike Danger. “But there’s good reason for that.”

Mike recently got the chance to test drive the new CR-V hybrid on California roads.

His verdict? It’s pretty much the solid base hit you expect, though it has a “more rugged and handsome look” than the last generation. “If you’re looking for fuel efficiency, good tech, and a nice, roomy interior, this may be a good option for you.”

See how the CR-V fits Mike’s 6-foot-4-inch frame, and watch him experiment with its enhanced engine sounds and show you how to have fun in one of the most predictable vehicles on the market in the video.
