The Hyundai Palisade is one of the best three-row SUVs on the market. It sits comfortably at number two in our ranking of the Best Midsize SUVs, behind only the Kia Telluride, which is largely the same car. The two are built on the same platform at the same factory, using most of the same parts. Deciding which of the two to buy can come down to small fluctuations in price, and changes in the monthly incentives automakers use to lure you through the dealership door.
For 2021, Hyundai is stepping up the sibling rivalry with some content and price changes. Notably, the most well-equipped Palisade is getting cheaper. The high-end Calligraphy trim level will be available as a front-wheel drive model, where it has previously been offered only with all-wheel drive. The change knocks the Palisade Calligraphy’s price down by $1,700, to $47,225 (including destination fee).
The Calligraphy comes with quilted leather upholstery, a microsuede headliner, 20-inch wheels, and a unique black grille.
The Palisade has been one of the best-selling SUVs in America this year. At one point, Hyundai had just 36 days supply of the vehicle in the U.S. (the industry average is 75).
