Tesla Offers Model 3 Lease for Just $399

2022 Tesla Model 3 in white. If you’ve always dreamed of owning a Tesla but haven’t been willing to pay the prices of today’s cars, you may have an opening. The automaker is offering lease payments as low as $399 on some Model 3 sedans.

The leases require a substantial down payment and include an unusually low mileage restriction. But for those who work from home or have short commutes, that may not be a problem.

Tesla recently slashed prices on many of its cars to help more buyers qualify for government electric vehicle (EV) tax rebates. The cuts pushed the price of the base Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) to $43,990.

It also pushes payments on a 36-month lease as low as $399 after a $4,500 down payment. The lease includes a 10,000-mile-per-year limit.

Tesla charges $0.25 per mile to go over the limit and reserves the right to add additional charges for wear and tear after an end-of-lease inspection if owners exceed the mileage caps. The offer does not apply in all states.

The Model 3 RWD has an EPA-certified range of 272 miles. Tesla does not quote horsepower figures for the car.
