Recall Alert: Toyota Corolla Cross

Toyota is recalling about 12,600 Corolla Cross SUVs from model years 2022 and 2023 because their front passenger airbags may not deploy properly.

A front passenger airbag deploys through a slit hidden in the dashboard. But Toyota tells federal safety regulators that some Corolla Cross models “may have been produced without the required perforation.”

Toyota initially recalled a limited number of Corolla Cross SUVs over this issue last June but has since determined that the issue might apply to more models than it suspected at that time.

Dealers will inspect the dashboards and replace the relevant panels if they find the perforation lacking.
