Recall Alert: Rivian R1S, R1T

2022 Rivian R1S and R1T on snow

Rivian has recalled 2,334 vehicles, including R1S SUVs, R1T pickups, and EDV delivery vans, all from model years 2023-2024, because their headlights may be aimed too low.

The company tells federal safety officials that factory technicians misaligned headlights on certain production dates. Rivian is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the problem. But headlights aimed too low might not illuminate as much of the road as needed to keep drivers safe.

Rivian will check the headlamp alignment and adjust it if necessary. As with all recall repairs, the fix is free. Manufacturers attempt to contact every owner, but they don’t always reach them all with the news. Find out if your car has ever been recalled at our recall center.

Cox Automotive, parent company of Kelley Blue Book and Autotrader, is a minority investor in Rivian.
