Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for about 15,000 GLC SUVs from model years 2019 through 2022, including some AMG models, because their headlights may be aimed incorrectly.
The company tells federal safety officials that one of several factory tools used to aim headlights fell out of calibration. That has resulted in some headlights aimed too high, which “has the potential to create glare for oncoming traffic, which may increase the risk of a crash.”
Dealers will measure the headlamp adjustment and, if necessary, resight them to fix the problem. Because the work requires replacing no parts, it should be a quick service appointment.
