Kia has issued a recall for about 101,000 vehicles because roof molding can detach and fly off into traffic. The detached part could create a hazard for other vehicles.
Recalled models include Carnival minivans from model years 2022-2024 and Sportage compact SUVs from model years 2023-2024. Drivers might notice additional wind noise as the molding comes loose from the clips that hold it in place.
Dealers will inspect the roof molding and replace it or secure it as needed, Kia says.
