Jeep parent company Stellantis has recalled more than 97,000 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs from the 2022-2024 model years because they “may have been built with third-row seat belt buckles that are inaccessible or damaged.”
Third-row occupants are unsafe if they can’t buckle their seatbelts.
Jeep does not explain what caused the problem and says it learned of the issue from warranty claims.
Dealers will inspect the buckles and replace them if necessary.
Recall repairs are always free. Manufacturers try to reach every owner to warn them. But some always fall through the cracks in the system, and drivers unknowingly operate recalled cars. Check our easy recall tool to find out if your car has any outstanding recalls.
