Recall Alert: Hyundai Palisade Windshield Wipers

2021 Hyundai PalisadeHyundai has issued a recall for about 120,000 Palisade 3-row SUVs from model years 2020 and 2021 that may have faulty windshield wiper motors.

The motors can function intermittently or fail entirely. Hyundai says it is still studying the problem, but the failures seem to occur when wipers are “impeded by accumulation of snow and/or ice” and burn themselves out trying to move it.

Hyundai is still developing a solution for this problem and plans to notify owners by mail when it becomes available.

It’s the second recent recall for some Palisade owners. The company recently asked owners of tow-hitch-equipped Palisades to park outside while Hyundai works to fix a problem that can cause a fire, even in a parked vehicle.

Recall repairs are always free. Manufacturers attempt to contact every owner, but they don’t always reach them all with the news. Find out if your car has ever been recalled at our recall center.
