Honda has issued a recall for 114,686 cars because their rearview cameras may not display an image when the vehicle is started with a key.

Affected models include the:

Honda tells federal safety officials that starting the cars with the key causes the starter to crank more, which can drop the battery’s state of charge low enough that the display screen doesn’t activate.

The company knows of no accidents or injuries, but at least 92 warranty claims related to the problem.

Dealers will install a software update with a new boot procedure for the screen, which should solve the problem.
