Recall Alert: Ford Super Duty, Lincoln Continental Backup Cameras

2018 Ford F-250 Lariat in red on a farm.Ford and its Lincoln luxury brand have issued a recall for about 277,000 vehicles that may have faulty backup cameras. The recall affects 2017-2020 Ford Super Duty trucks and Lincoln Continental sedans.

In documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Ford explains that an anti-UV coating on a camera lens “can lead to a progressively foggy or cloudy rearview camera image.”

Dealers will fix the problem by replacing the entire rearview camera. Recall repairs are always free.
