Recall Alert: Ford Bronco, Ranger

2024 Ford Bronco Big Bend

Ford is recalling 2,416 Ranger pickups from model year 2024 and Bronco SUVs from 2024 and 2025 because front steering parts can fail.

The company tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, “Some of these vehicles may have a missing or improperly torqued nut on the ball joint that secures the front upper control arm to the knuckle assembly, which can result in separation of the front upper control arm.”

That can leave a vehicle difficult to steer.

Drivers get little warning when it happens, though Ford says they “may hear a clunk or rattle noise” as it develops.

Ford says it knows of no accidents or injuries but four field reports related to the problem.

Dealers will inspect the fasteners in the front ball joints. They’ll replace the entire ball joint and knuckle assembly if they find anything unusual.

Recall repairs are always free.
